Bass with a stupid penalty in the offensive zone. Have to be more disciplined when you are ahead. Don't retaliate.

That was not FF9's first shorthanded goal his first NHL goal was shorthanded. Arvy pots another as I type that

I know we bemoaned these lines but who would think that those top 2 lines would score 4 goals and it was Arvy and Jarnkrok. Of course it is all about Rinne as when he is "on" we have a chance to win.

Forsberg having a good night after a tough stretch of trying really hard with not much results.
Wish this team would have been at the game on Thursday when i was actually in the building!

We have to hope that the philly game was just a bad one for Rinne that the team in front of him had a lot to do with. He has been great tonight and the 5 games before that. We may have lost the Blues game but it was 1-0.

That Philly game was a true team stinker...Rinne didn't look great, but the whole team looked as hungover as I was the day after the skills competition. Looking better tonight but our captain needs to get angry.

We need to stay out of the box against the top PP team in the league so not surprising they got 2PP goals but we did get a SH goal.

I'm sure once I make this observation it will probably become the complete opposite of what I say but has anybody else noticed that when Rinne is challenged with shots early in the game he plays better?

Kind of like a baseball player getting a couple of ground balls his way early and then settling down for the rest of the game. Rinne gets peppered with shots early on (the Sharks had what, 8 shots in the first 5 minutes tonight?) and he typically plays the strong game. He struggles when we outshoot a team like 10-2 in the first 10-15 minutes and then he'll let in a goal on say the third or fourth shot and then it all goes downhill from there.

Near where sand and waves meet.
Arvy is an energy guy who can occasionally create chances. If he ever gets stronger on his skates then his north/south game can translate at the NHL level. Jarnkrok is the team's utility forward that is somehow fitting on the wing of the top line over the past 4-5 periods. It isn't how most people would draw it up on paper, but it worked tonight. Now to see if Lavi leaves things alone to start the next game.
