Assuming he came on the market and was willing to waive, what's your team's best offer for him?

It's a non starter to gauge interest on him?
Yes because Marner is leaving and it's a retool in Toronto not a rebuild. Not getting anyone better than Willy in a trade. If it was a full rebuild then sure....

I could see Vancouver being very interested in him, not sure what they would offer but playing with Willy could definitely contribute to bringing EP40 back to his best game.

I don't know, maybe somebody is horny for him and is willing to give up a lot, nothing wrong with exploring that.
So they get an offer and Willy says I just signed an 8 year deal to stay so no. Not much point in all this

Or he says yes

I guess it's Toronto, we can't do things to try and get better.

Maybe there's still time to resign Marner after all...............
It sounds like a great plan to let Marner walks and trade Willy for lesser players at the same time. How does this make them better. Sounds like a rebuild to me with what you're suggesting

Why in your mind can nobody make a good/great offer for Nylander? Is the Leafs jersey that cursed?

They could make a good offer but nothing that returns a player of his caliber. If we want a rebuild then go ahead but we both no he's not waiving. He's already said how much he loves Toronto and doesn't want to go anywhere

Toronto has an issue with their stars showing up when it matters, so they're gonna address it by trading the one that actually does?
