William Nylander

I can't see him leading a team to the promised land, that isn't him. But, he's a fantastic talent. Anyways, I'm off to write a pseudo intellectual dissertation on how Neville Chamberlain and Marner fan boys are really the same. Love this place!
I think gentle surrender would need to be part of your thesis.

But before you do, could provide any examples per my last reply to you please?

Signing Marner to a 13x8 like SOOOOOOO many people here wanted have been the death of this team forever.

Literally don't bother watching till 2035. Nylander while slightly overpaid, is totally fine as a championship team. I think Nylander can reach a higher gear with better teammates.

Well, they aren’t dead yet. Imagine this place if they somehow pull off the unimaginable
Dare to dream!

I just want to enjoy the long weekend by watching the Leafs play and WIN Sun night!

Then spend Mon recovering from my near fatal decision making

If we win the cup, I'll sign Marner to 16mil. I don't care.
Not me. No matter what happens, win or lose, rain or shine, the future of the team still matters.

I've said it so many times, I'm just not interested in extending Marner unless it's for a massive discount, or he shows this spring that he can earn his cap hit in the playoffs. For a little while there I thought he might actually do it but it's not looking good now that's for sure.

I'm trying to think if there's anything in my 50+ years of following pro sports that was a bigger surprise than that would be. Drawing a blank so far.
28-3 would be less surprising.

Everyone in the back of their head thought the Patriots had a chance with Brady even 0.0001%.

I'm dreading a game 6 win I really am. I can't handle a game 7 lost after the hope returns.

No that was appeasement he argued. Bad thesis, not surprising.

I'll stand by my point thanks, pretty self evident, I don't do requests.

Chamberlain might have framed it as such, but Hitler took the concessions as continued license to advance, every bit as much as the Panthers accepted Marner's and did likewise. In a thesis that attempts to synthesize the two, Marner obligates the outcome rather than the process.

No, what's self-evident is that your point doesn't stand without precedent. Meaning, you provided a baseless criticism according to your preferred prejudice. As such, I don't need a subsequent explanation to know that you don't have examples to support your feelings.

I tire of these horrible pedestrian analogies, with the dressed up language to fill up empty. Scores aren't feelings bud, cheers.

So Nylander's line is facing the top defenders now?

Is that true or not?

Not sure it matters a great deal, as it is a pretty good team, with a goalie who can get hot. I believe he had a record streak last year, during the playoffs. If you don't score goals, you just aren't going to win. Goals scored determine the winner, everything else is secondary.

Against Florida:

Nylander is even (6 points)
Tavares is -1 (2 points)
Paccioretty is +2 (5 points) limited ice time

marner is even (4 points)
Matthews is +1 (3 points)
Knies is even (4 points)

He did in Florida for quite a bit not at home much.

When has Nylander ever hidden when things get tough?

Think you're confused about which member of the core you're talking about.
Meaning the other two take all the blame and once that layer is removed the focus will shift to him.

Scores aren't feelings, but your characterization of Nylander's value against Matthews and Marner reads an awful lot like prejudice.

That you don't have a precedent to support your criticism of Nylander isn't my problem.

And doesn't disliking questions to substantiate your opinion feel very...Matthews-Marner-ish? lol.

Cheers!
