Even with AM not doing his job, Knies and Marner still haven't produced enough in the Florida series. After game 2 they didn't even play the top shutdown line. Funnily enough game 3 and 4 is where the first line struggled the most.I don't think it's unreasonable to say nylander could have a better geling C, but hes found a way to produce at a superstar level for 8 games and he should be able to continue to do that. We also just don't have a better fitting C so it is what it is,
I also think nylander has the ability to adapt to JT as he has for a few years now, gonna need him to continue working it out with him
I do agree that the first line is costing us, but I place a lot of that on 34 for not doing his main job.
It's not like AM is chopped liver. Outside of goal scoring he's playing pretty well. Still way better than Tavares, from every advanced stats angle.
