Not a good game by Nylander but he'll respond as he usually does
If that’s what a bad game looks like he should be the highest paid player on our teamNot a good game by Nylander but he'll respond as he usually does
He's tied top 6 for playoff goals for Leafs all time, so his standard is pretty high.If that’s what a bad game looks like he should be the highest paid player on our team

Still manages to get 2 assists in an off game.If that’s what a bad game looks like he should be the highest paid player on our team
Willy @ $11.5 mil AAV has scored 9 goals in his last 12 playoff games.Held off scorecard once these playoffs, same as marner ... shutout game.
Matthews 2 games no points.
Good thing Knies is scoring some goals.
Don’t (do) tell KypreosWilly @ $11.5 mil AAV has scored 9 goals in his last 12 playoff games.
Matty Knies @ ELC $925k (has been outstanding) with 5 goals > (Matthews @ $13.25 mil (2 goals) + Marner @ $10.9 mil (2 goals) with 4 goals combined in 2025.
Leafs are getting their best Bang for their contract buck $$ via goal scoring from Nylander and Knies.![]()
I know Tavares scored last night, but he really is a 3C at this point. The lack of speed to keep up is VERY noticable.I don’t even think it was an off game, he generated some good scoring chances. People tend to think about the last play. Tavares is ancient and Holmberg is awful. As always he still is scoring despite this.

That seems like a reasonable assumption, but not all of them show up every year in the playoffs the way Nylander does. They all want to win.
I want to win the Cup too, but I don’t think that's the point. They all want to win.
Without question. They all want to win.
Matthews is limitated but he doesn’t look like he laccs any effort in my opinion he’s not Matthews at his best but at this point it’s like beating a dead horseWithout question.
It just seems like Nylander wants to win more because his actions match the eye test for elevated desire from the regular season to the playoffs.
And for the record, I believe Matthews and Marner have the ability to elevate their level of engagement because I’ve seen it in fits and starts. We all have.
Which makes criticizing their willingness to engage all the more frustrating.
They all want to win equally, silly to think otherwise IMO.Without question.
