William Nylander

If that’s what a bad game looks like he should be the highest paid player on our team
He's tied top 6 for playoff goals for Leafs all time, so his standard is pretty high.

In pretty good company here...

Held off scorecard once these playoffs, same as marner ... shutout game.
Matthews 2 games no points.

Good thing Knies is scoring some goals.
Willy @ $11.5 mil AAV has scored 9 goals in his last 12 playoff games.

Matty Knies @ ELC $925k (has been outstanding) with 5 goals > (Matthews @ $13.25 mil (2 goals) + Marner @ $10.9 mil (2 goals) with 4 goals combined in 2025.

Leafs are getting their best Bang for their contract buck $$ via goal scoring from Nylander and Knies. :)

As i was afraid of he had a off game and the other did not compensate. They need to next game. And never play Holmberg as lw on second line ever. I like what he can bring on bottom 6. Not on 2nd line. Rather have mcmann , he could find his groove there.
And Nylander and Matthews shooot more!

I don’t even think it was an off game, he generated some good scoring chances. People tend to think about the last play. Tavares is ancient and Holmberg is awful. As always he still is scoring despite this.

He set the team up for the W last night. If they had stabilized a bit in net it would have been enough. Oh well, on to the next game

They all want to win.
That seems like a reasonable assumption, but not all of them show up every year in the playoffs the way Nylander does.

As I've been saying for a few years now, playoff Nylander is money in the bank. I know you hate to see it, but I think it's safe to say that for most of us it's a good thing, and his stellar play is one of the main reasons that we're in round 2 and leading the current series against the defending Cup Champions. :)

GLG!!

Without question.

It just seems like Nylander wants to win more because his actions match the eye test for elevated desire from the regular season to the playoffs.

And for the record, I believe Matthews and Marner have the ability to elevate their level of engagement because I’ve seen it in fits and starts. We all have.

Which makes criticizing their willingness to engage all the more frustrating.

Matthews is limitated but he doesn’t look like he laccs any effort in my opinion he’s not Matthews at his best but at this point it’s like beating a dead horse

They all want to win equally, silly to think otherwise IMO.
