His game, puck control, zone entry, good speed and shot naturally translates better to the postseason. He has more forceable moves than Matthews, who needs setup for his shot even when he's got it(not often in the postseason)

The man can generate a solo goal or a freebie assist. Can Matthews claim that? He can't do either.

Speaking of that, he has the scrams of linemates. Tavares is not a good fit, nor has he been good trajectory outside of this year.

I used to think it was injury, now I'm starting to think it's because his game doesn't translate well in the postseason.

Even when he has his shot, he doesn't have a signature spot like Ovi or Drai. That's a big problem in the postseason when everything is tighter.

What reference point do we have for a healthy Matthews in the postseason? Don't think the Tampa series were Matthew's absolute beast, and I think he was healthy for at least one of them.

At this point we have reference points for Willy against Habs with Kerfoot, His good series against Tampa in 2022, his two good series in 2023 against Tampa and Florida, his obvious good series against Boston, and now his absolute dynamite performance.

Sure, if it's moments, then it's more likely playstyle culprit than injury. He's obviously been healthy for some of these series.

Willy is slow and injured. Don't see it affecting him. Why I pegged him to age like wine.
