I can't remember when a Leaf player last had a period like that in the playoffs, what a wonderful treat it was to watch that. We have to win the game though, hoping for another quality period in the 2nd!

To expand on my last post:

It's not the 2 goals and 1 assist in the period that impresses - it's the way he came out.

Moving his feet, driving the play with purpose.
When Willy is playing like garbage, he's out for leisurely skates.
When he's out skating and moving like tonight, regardless of whether he scores of creates goals, he pushes the defense back and compresses the playing surface.

That's what makes him dangerous - the combination of the raw skill + the physical ability to move like few players can.
