Once again Willy is the big moment man
LOL who’s first ?That EN goal, and the shift immediately before that, were an example of what this guy is capable of when he's pushing
He's unbelievable when he skates.
He's absolutely garbage when he doesn't.
Most players ahve something in between, Willy doesn't.
He's the 2nd best player on the team when he's going.

He's been the best in the postseason for 3 straight seasons.Kinda been looking like the best a lot of nights this year for forwards
Box score watchers on the moon tonight
Who do you have directly responsible for four goals in two elimination games?Box score watchers on the moon tonight
As frustrating as his lack of physicality can be he was an offensive force when we needed it.Box score watchers on the moon tonight
The haters couldn’t even let him enjoy the win on his born day yet when people decide to point out he outplayed marner everyone is wondering why theyre being compared to each other after the win huge double standard around here………anyways GLGWho do you have directly responsible for four goals in two elimination games?
Like I said elsewhere Nylander can be so good when he wants to be. If he had the same fight and intensity as Knies has shown much of the season and especially in the playoffs, he'd be a legit superstar. That's the biggest difference between him and guys like Draisaitl.
You just know they were seething red in the face when Willy skated hard for that EN goal. The haters couldn’t even let him enjoy the win on his born day yet when people decide to point out he outplayed marner everyone is wondering why theyre being compared to each other after the win huge double standard around here………anyways GLG
This is the best time of the year to watch Willy go, waiting for it all season. The haters couldn’t even let him enjoy the win on his born day yet when people decide to point out he outplayed marner everyone is wondering why theyre being compared to each other after the win huge double standard around here………anyways GLG

I think Nylanders style of play is more physically exhausting. Draisaitl has more of that old guy who's figured out all the tricks in the book vibe. He'll slow the play way down like Joe Thornton before setting something up with his vision or turn on the jets to throw the defender off.Like I said elsewhere Nylander can be so good when he wants to be. I disagree. I've watched alot of playoff Draisaitl and he fights for the puck everywhere and embraces physical play and gives it his all in every game. I'm a Nylander fan but we both know that he doesn't play physical much and sometimes his intensity and heart can be questioned. When Nylander is on he can be great, but Drai is on a different level and its why if given the choice, no GM in the entire league would choose Willy over Leon.I don't think Draisaitl's fight and intensity (on a consistent basis) are all that special. He's a great player, but he doesn't seem like a guy who goes all out constantly.
A discount McDavid isn't a bad comparison. Lets hope he can bring it against the Panthers because Leafs are probably going to have trouble scoring if he isn't producing.I always saw Nylander more as an Etsy McDavid.
