Go Leafs Go!
It is the equivalent of "Marner has 4 goals and 0 assists over 4 games, he needs to set more people up as a primary playmaker". Doesn't that sound wild to you?Saying the 2nd leading goal scorer in the league over the season needs to score goals isn't a wild take.
It’s not you alone Hes a pretty good dodgerIt is the equivalent of "Marner has 4 goals and 0 assists over 4 games, he needs to set more people up as a primary playmaker". Doesn't that sound wild to you?
I know you have no intention of actually holding any meaningful discussion, which is why you keep dodging me, but Ill ask one last time. Is a goal more valuable than an assist?
I think that's the question he was asking you, as Nylander is the only one you singled out.Why would you think it's ok for the others not to score? Weird take.
Actually, all of Nylanders assists are primary. Marners are mainly secondaryLol.
I am just saying I don't care who scores them. If he is setting up goals with primary assists a la Marner then it doean't matter to me if he actually is the one who puts it in.
That first pass he made to Tavares probably you or I could have tapped it in. The OEL pass was terrific but OEL still had to make a great shot.
Just win! I am rambling
That’s the key as first line players playing on the 2nd line they need to exploit that.He is good enough, for a 2nd line player , playing with a 3rd 4th line LW and way to slow center(but JT been realy good overall).
Bring Mcmann up to the 2nd line allready!
I asked all year has anyone seen any speed decline in Willy, have my eyes deceived me or something?
I think he straight up has.
Some goals would be nice but we would have taken either one tonight.6 points in 4 games and leads the team in primary assists.
As far as raw production goes, hard to expect significantly more production here. Unless one wants to argue that goals are significantly more important than

He really had a poor game. The cycle ended on his stick many times, and not because he scored unfortunatelyWas Nylander playing tonight?
Was Nylander playing tonight?
Where's the fluidity? Where's the zone entry? Where's theHe looked off tonight, but on the whole since September I don't think his skating/speed is any lesser than it was in the past
This team is cooked. Wasted the actual prime. Now it's straight decline with overpays.Yes happened a while ago. He is normal NHL speed now. No extra step anymore.

Well, isn’t that the case for your whole core then? At least Nylander created two goals out of nothing in game 5 which forced OT - what did the first line, except Knies, do? I don’t see you in Matthews and Marner’s thread spewing this nonsense, so it’s quite obvious what you’re trying to do?Nylander has brought nothing this series after about Game 2. Terrible playoffs for him.
No, just like Mitch and Matthews… and Tavares. There you goWas Nylander playing tonight?

Agreed. I don't get all these guys with their pitchforks for other players trying to parse out his completely lacklustre playoffs. He's been bad, we need more. Content to curl away and not hard enough winning pucks. Willie doesn't get a pass because of his flow, he's part of the problem, on the PP too.Nylander has brought nothing this series after about Game 2. Terrible playoffs for him.
