William Nylander

What is wrong with Nylander the last couple of games? He looks like he has the flu. In the third he was gassed after 10 seconds and barely got back to the bench.

Bumping this thread. I always get the sense that players don't want to f*** with Nylander even though he doesn't fight on the ice. He just has that energy about him. Was nice to see him mixing it up. I think Nylander is one of the straws that will have to stir the drink consistently for the Leafs to do it and I think he can do it.

Don picked the wrong Canadian
lol, I still remember many years ago Craig Button said that Nylander would be good trade bait for a defenceman because there was a guy named Adam Brooks who was tearing up the WHL and will make Nylander expendable.

Just goes to show that sometimes these pundits are also pretty badly wrong, pretty often and why I think sometimes us fellow posters are way to hard on each other with what we deem to be "dumb analysis".

Craig Button is a bit of an inspiration to me, personally - he's proof that you can be absolutely rubbish at your job, but as long as you blabber on and sound semi-competent, you can keep that job forever.

You must love Kyle Dubas. He's managed to go further selling his bullshit. Maybe if Button stocked his wardrobe with more cardigans he'd have a job in the NHL.

People only remember the ones they get wrong, no one remembers when they get it right.

I think part of it is volume - many said Nylander was the better choice and very few said otherwise, so the few who got it wrong are remembered.

Speaking of volume, the very loud, very vociferous Cherry is also easy to remember.

It's quite remarkable how each take he makes is somehow worse than the last.

He's just built for the postseason. That speed, edge work and zone entry is chef kiss. Completely underrated playmaker as well. That Rielly goal literally required a body to score and nothing else.
