Honestly we'll see, he might not be back at all if there's only a few games left and the Oilers spot is locked in. I feel like we won't really know until a week from now. Plus McDavid's timeline sounded more uncertain, so they just might just rest them both until playoffs.Damn hes coming bacc ? There goes that trophy

Tavares has been incredible this year, but it is funny that the previous 2 years were pretty bad declines. Contract year timing for the Leafs is almost always awful.
Kind of a strange year goal wise . Last year 4 players finished over 50 goals , 1 over 60 [ Mathews ] another 3 almost 50 .
22/23 5 over 50 - 2 over 60 and another couple knocking on the door
21/22 - 4 over 50 , 1 at 60 [mathews ] couple more knocking on the door

VRBO - short term rental (Vacation Rental by Owner). IMO better option than Airbnb.
Just seemed McMann was the best option all year, especially with the swing and miss Pacioretty.

Willy is currently erasing the overpaid label we have mostly all given him. Too bad he won't get a Rocket this year, but what a run from the 2nd line even.

Casual hockey fans and novice observers still getting fooled. Nylander is 100% a product of Matthews, the GF-GA/60 numbers don't lie.
He’s easily my favorite player on the team. He’s got that dog in him that you can’t teach. He has 20 more goals than Marner. I can’t believe Marner won the Nylander vs Marner poll. For me it’s Nylander. He’s the more complete player.

Tavares has hit his plateau, but I think there is still room for improvement in the others. Mostly decision making.
Bobby and Knies for sure we don’t have a real 3rd line so we need a checcin 3rd line and a fourth line that can add scoring it’s the only way to turn the way we’re built into a strength since we’re not spreading the offence
And you think Nylander is just a goal-scorer?
It’s much more than that. He controls the game, he is an elite playmaker, he has an elite shot, he dekes well, he scores. He’s a possession machine and a line driver. Defensively, he holds his own, and with 20 more pounds than Marner, he uses his frame to protect the puck effectively. He’s essentially the perfect winger. Nylander is simply more complete then Marner.
I’d be a little less scared of Tavares though due to his game. He was never a good skater at any level so I feel like he can play without speed. If MacKinnon lost his speed, it would be a nightmare but Tavares never really had it.
Hopefully he signs for something like 6m x 3 or something.
Nylander's playmaking is underrated. Bobby McMann is the best winger he's ever had and the man is sometimes yanked to the 3rd line because it's a corpse.
Tavares while good, is also not a good fit for Nylander as a center.
