Fans hated Nylander because it didn’t fit their mold on what a Leaf player should be. We are fascinated by growlers who have a bite and have a lot of hits.

We ran Kessel out of town and he could have won 2 playoff mvp in playoffs with his play. Pitt has been on a down spiral ever since he left

Nylander received the same treatment. Plays lazy D …doesn’t hit…has no bite or growl.

But why hit when you have pick possession? Nylander is so strong on his skates that he makes bigger players shy away as he can make them look foolish.
He is an elite player with the puck and has the right attitude to play for the leafs.

Was always a big fan of his.

It won’t take long though for fans to turn on him. One or two bad games will be all it takes.

Last night he decided to take da game over .. when he does we have no better player .. but da issue is "when" .. i truly hope and pray that he decides to be best player on ice in every playoff game we play this year .. i think we can all see it is not gonna be Matty this year .. and Mitch just does not have da foot speed come playoff time

We’re paying Domi and Kampf 6.15 for neither of them to be a 3C. That could be 5 mil and 850k for Lundell + generic grinder 4C like Florida, it could be two guys like Colton and Nick Paul. Tying up the bottom-6 budget in one-dimensional vanilla players is different from not having money.

Kampf can do it with the right wingers as a checcin line and then you build your fourth line as a scarce scoring line only problem is you don’t want domi on the fourth line or you put kampf in between your two scoring wingers on the third line he isn’t that bad we just don’t like the production and cap hit but when you play with reevo that’s to be expected look at the pass he gave laughton so he could step into it people over hype kampfs lacc of offence

Good 3Cs rarely have big cap hits though, we’re conflating good and expensive for some reason and it just isn’t the case for cup winners. Before the current cap increase, championship calibre 3Cs were under 5mil, most under 4.
