William Nylander

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Elaborate on it if you can please I’m all eyes
Matthews and Nylander have scored over 1/3 of all Leafs goals over the last 5 seasons, and 1/3 of the goals in the playoffs. They also have almost 1/3 of the regular season gwgs and almost half of the playoff gwgs.

Over the last four seasons, Willy has only 18 fewer goals (and more points) than Matty, and only 11 fewer points than Mitch.

If nobody gets paid for passing, why are we paying Marner so much? :sarcasm:

Really impressive for Nylander, eslecially considering he isnt attached to Matthews.

WOW everyone likes to look at the total amount of years but like my other friend mentioned over the last five years they’ve kinda been trending the opposite direction 11 more points huh with quality of linemates and time on ice

That's why they didn't trade Nylander. He scores goals. Securing the goal scorer is more important than the playmaker. Still too soft and being far too lazy sometimes but I guess you could look at it like he is resting himself for the playoffs and using energy only for the best opportunities

Or Marner.

I think the posters who are talking about how great Marner is and how dependent Matthews is on his set-ups don't realize that they are actually supporting the idea that Nylander may be the best player. Virtually identical production without having each other for support.

Congrats to Willy on 600 points.

With 7 years left, he might be at 1100 points by the time his contract expires.

I really hope these guys can at least make a finals so everyone can appreciate how good they are.
When all is said and done Nylander, Matthews and Marner will be the top 3 scorers in Leaf history.

Against Nashville I didn’t even notice him. I hope he’s just bored at this point and is waiting for the playoffs. He’s historically been a playoff guy.

He really has the talent to be one of the best players in the league.

He definitely didn’t have a good game imo was he a dash 1? Needs to be much better cant take any games off gearing up for the playoffs either but your right he has the smarts and physical gifts to be a top 10 player in this league there’s nothing he isn’t capable of doing efforts his issue

The -1 was the empty net goal. Not a particularly good or bad game - a couple of shots, a couple of blocks - pretty meh, but certainly not the worst player on the night.

Need more from him for sure but definitely was far from one of the worst on the night for his defensive short Cummings the dash did come on an empty netter with rielly why is he on the ice with the net empty mccabe or oel should be out on 6 on 5s rielly should get no pp time
