William could have had at least 2 more goals, twice he passed up on shooting an empty netter and dished it to Holmberg. One of the times the pass was more difficult than if he just shot it.

Only cause it’s his swede he doesn’t want him to get traded loool it’s funny but I’m being serious though

Only 9 players have more goals over the last almost 4 seasons, and with the possible exception of Draisaitl they all play on the top line.

He's been playing mainly with JT, who is very much a shoot-first player, and a not great assortment of wingers.


He's been getting that a lot all year - comes with the goal scoring and the linemates.

Hopefully Berube sees that and counters it gotta think that spots bobbys as soon as they fix the third line

Berube does. It doesn't matter how much Marner whines or Matthews. If we want to win, you can't have a player like Matthews with softy like Marner. It's flat out stupid and Nylander isn't even a best match for him, but it's better.

between matthews's, his and marners potential contracts we will have used 5-7M more than we should've.

He isn't even close to a pastrnak and he got way too close to him interms of percentage. He should've been around 10-11%, not anywhere near 13% like pastrnak

so no nylander's linemates aren't anything special compared to others on either list

holmberg has 14 points in 50 this season, bertuzzi last year had 21 through 50

last year WN had 84 in 62 JT had 46 in 62 and bertuzzi had 29 in 62. So he had arguably lesser linemates and produced nearly TWENTY more points

so even compared to himself he is worse, so either last year was an anomoly (so we indeed overpaid the guy) or he is not good enough this season for 11.5M. It is one or the other.

When Nylander's dialed in he's a terror. I would argue he has been less of an underachiever in the playoffs than the other three have been as well.

Sustaining that production would see him as one of the most prolific goal scorers in history, eclipsing the likes of Bobby Hull before his contract was up, and you're turning your nose up at the cheque?

I'm just saying this isn't the year to complain, he's not going to do that, but it shows you've clearly stepped outside of reality here.

If you don't like his price point, just wait until he isn't the second best goal scorer in the league to be angry about it.
