Skated pretty hard for the open net, at least!

I'm surprised he was able to skate from his own net to the opposition net.

He usually only skates blueline to net.

Maybe that is why he was ill, too much exertion.

By far the most talented player on the team, PPG player giving 70%.
Even the Oilers don't have a player with such talent.

:sarcasm:

Can you imagine if he actually tried?

He coasted to a 98 point season, while others bust the butt every game and get about the same.

Maybe if they put a Swedish patch on the shoulder?
Maybe he'd be better if he stopped having the anti synergy centre on his line.

Maybe he'd be better with a left winger who's name I can remember for two seasons.

He can coast in the regular season all he wants. In the postseason he's been the best out of the core 4 by a mile.

OH the irony, i hope
The swedish patch was the cream on the cake.

Not directed at u. But i think the Swedish team has better suited teammates , roles and system for him. Built to elevate him, not Tavares. Way better D and goalie. Is not 82 games.. The worst opponent is way worse. Better coach(Maby not now).

Willy has such natural chemistry with dawgs. In the playoffs he and Knies were showing their chemistry. Now Willy and McMann with unbelievable chemistry.

Do not remove Domi from Willy's side at all.

Tavares on the 3rd line would be good.

If Nylander tries hard every shift, he challenges for the Art Ross. He gets 100 points in his sleep, possibly playing hungover half the time. Nylander can get 135 points this year, if he wanted to. At his best making dynamic things look so simple, Marner looks at that and knows he isnt that but somewhat close.

Willy seems to be able to play with anyone and keep being effective. Even Tavares, who's possibly the worst fit for him because his game's basically the opposite.

So he's been.. in a coma? or something? his whole career so far when he has never hit 100?

So many chances. The biggest difference between an all star Nylander and a superstar Nylander is he was finding elite conversion rates when he was on his 120 point run.

I still like how many chances he's generating, it's just tough when he misses the net on a breakaway.

I counted four prime chances missed. Tough expectations for big Willy but he's paid to sink one of those tonight. Not a good night for the superstar.

It was one of those nights for the whole team. We will have games exactly like that that go for us as well.

I thought the one replay (maybe during intermission) showed that the goalie got a bit of it.

I liked the later one where he had Shes going high glove but put it five-hole (hit the inside of his left leg and bounced just wide of the right post).

Yup. If your paid like a elite sniper you got to produce, can’t be snake bitten on a regular basis………

So is Shesterkin worth $11.25mm as one announcer has suggested?

Perhaps he had an impact on the game?

"Sheskerkin just gets a piece."

And then one between the legs that slid wide.

I’d rather have him than either Marner or Styles to be honest, guy’s a generational player imo…….
