He has now also surpassed his father, Michael Nylander, in terms of most goals in a season. Michael scored 26 playing with Jagr and Straka in New York.
Nylander is more consistent in being pointless in any given game. 35% vs 24% in Marner. Isnt very close.
Such a flithy goal tonight
He was terrible on Saturday and responded in a huge way today. Like to see that. It's been happening a lot where he responds after a bad game.Tonight was one of the better games of his career. Winning battles and showing off some elite skill.
Yep looked really good tonight.Quite noticeably hard on the puck and that goal was something else.
Yup, Nylander is a beast! So strong.Nylander and Matthews are both untouchable when they have the puck. Blessed to have them both.
I'll never understand the preconceived notion that Nylander is "soft" , he never wins battles, he's weak etc. He's been doing this throughout his career, except he's just taken it to another level this year. Sure he can get lazy at times, but you can see the majority of NHL players do that throughout an 82 game season. He's been dialed in all season long.
