I don't think the Bruins ownership will get behind anything remotely like that. It feels like it was a big step for the team to give up on the playoffs (more or less) by selling off at the deadline. I imagine another terrible season like this one and Sweeneely get sacked.

To Don Cherry's credit he never named the player responsible, but that was tough. Everyone around here getting their panties in bunch about Marchand being disrespected, but no one was more disrespected more than Middleton, 12 point away 1000 and Harry cuts him, ownership had a say in that I am sure.
