Will PK Subban be a Hall of Famer when it is all said and done?

Pretty sure my sentence doesn't say that.

It says "I know you're being silly, but there's a rather huge difference there. Coffey was scoring 120 to 130 points; Wilson / Carlyle 85-ish. Coffey was +70; Wilson / Carlyle +1 to -16. Coffey for a President's Trophy winner; Wilson / Carlyle for sub-.500 teams."

So, what does the bolded part mean?

No. But he probably will end up in Don Cherry's chair down the road on HNIC.

Subban is starting to look like Vinny Lecavalier, Heatley or bigger reach in either of the Richards boys. But a guy where having a HHOF discussion on them didn't seem odd but as they aged almost over night you really began to question it. Their games just went so poorly once their primes dropped off and PK certainly looks like a shell of himself lately in a similar fashion. We know injuries played big roles on the other guys, really curious what is going on with PK.

Injuries also played a big part of Subban's decline. Numerous back and neck injuries, no? I'd also say his training hasn't helped him, I think he needs to slim down.

If you're trying to insinuate he's got some sort of attitude problem you'd be mistaken. He was only dealt from Nashville because of his play, cap and to make way for Duchene and Fabbro.

I don't think it is an attitude problem but he has had issues with a few teammates over the years. I agree, I was more just stating it is weird how far his game has fallen off in a relatively short time. I wonder if he will make the adjustment like you're eluding to, he seems to have lost a bit of his top gear. He is also a guy that I wonder with the business getting him traded out of a second market he really seemed to enjoy if he is just a normal human being not really digging being "transferred" again. I mean he didn't play great in Nashville, but I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt in terms of he has had a lot going on off-ice lately it does have an impact.

One year removed for a Norris nom.

Last year he had nerve issues and it messed him up. This year he doesn't have the numbers but his play is alright on a bad team. That's good but not good enough to get you in if you aren't putting up points.

He's 30. Way too early to write off. He's on a HOF pace for his career. If the rest of the way he plays like an also ran he won't get in. But if he picks it up - which I think he will - then I see him going into the HOF. He was a top five blueliner over a five year stretch - maybe even top three. He consistently brought it in the playoffs. His analytics were among the best in the league. His resume was amazing until last year and now he's dropped off.

He's a 'wait and see' guy.
Hey, look, an answer that isn't based on "what have you done for me lately"

I agree, if he finds his Norris level and continues on that path he'll give himself a chance. I said earlier that a Cup would put him in the conversation too.

Definitely "wait and see" for me

In what universe is Subban even close to HHoF calibre right now?

He has 1 Norris and not much else to show for an NHL career. He's already at the point where he is being traded largely for salary cap relief.

Coffey played for a President's Trophy winner. (Note the corresponding point re: Wilson / Carlyle's teams.)
