Points are, of course, not the only way to measure if an 18 year old belongs in the NHL. But I think it's fair to say that if Luchanko isn't put in the position to score 30 and/or cannot generate enough offensively to score 30, then he would have been better off developing his game in Junior like 99% of 18 year olds who weren't obviously elite.

I voted no, but I'd expect mid 20s. Really depends on how he's deployed (minutes and linemates). Even elite franchise superstar Travis Konecny only clocked 28 in 70 as a 19 year old.

Yeah, Patrick scored 30 in 73 games as a 19 year old. Couturier scored 27 in 77 as an 18/19 year old.

There's more goals scored in the NHL now than back then, but not by the Flyers under Torts.

The 2022/23 - 2023/24 Flyers scored 2.75 G/GP (28th). In 2016/17 - 2017/18 when TK and then Patrick had their rookie seasons, the Flyers scored 2.81 G/GP (16th).

I voted yes depending on his linemates. If he's skating with Farabee and Brink, and gets some PP/PK points too, he might hit 30 by osmosis.

Probably would, but it would be a huge mistake for the organization to keep him up. He will hit a wall by January and a year of his ELC will be wasted.

However, Torts calls the shots and he is an arrogant, stubborn, narcissistic prick, so 70 games:
ES 9g 15a 24 pts
PP 1g 5a 6pts
SH 1g 1a 2 pts
TOT 11g 21a 32pts and a wasted season

After a bit of consideration, I changed my vote. I still believe Torts will bully the organization and get his way. But I’m going with:
ES 7g 15a 22pts
PP Og 4a 4pts
SH 1g 1a 2pts
TOTAL 8g 20a 28pts

Off topic but just wanted to say stay safe up that way looks like we’re going to get plastered down here.
Hang in there buddy!
If they tell you to evacuate, go. Don’t risk your life. Unless it makes a big turn north, we should be fine. Our home is a few miles from any significant water and sits at a 20ft elevation. Just hoping no nearby trees go down and we don’t lose power for any long length of time.

On this team with these coaches?! My gut says no… but Couturier isn’t playing a full 82, and Frost will be in the doghouse more than once, so Konecny and Michkov could drag him there.

I’m inland on high ground-so storm surge is no worry much like you it’s flying debris. I’m not in a mobile home so Polk county prefers you to shelter in place. Stay safe……. sorry for the off topic hijack boys😯
