I think Cozens will become an effective player again. If he gives us 50-60 points a year and plays a hard fast game, that to me is good, and i still believe he's capable of that.

Whether that's at C or wing is a real question though, and an important one. I think he could turn it around at C, but what is clear to me is that... right now... he'd be much better off playing at wing.

I would be working hard on acquiring a C as soon as possible, and until then, I'd put him on Krebs wing with Benson or whoever on the other side (I'd also sit Quinn right now, but that's a topic for another thread). Give the McLeod line 2nd line minutes, and feed the Krebs line easy matchups and OZ starts until they get going.

It's not ideal, but the Thompson and McLeod lines are winning most nights and your 4th line is a fine 4th line. Right now the Cozens line is hurting us most of the time, so it's not a hard decision to try something different.

He is better when he is engaged. He changed since Hathaway. He needs to get back to using his speed to get in on pucks and go get some dirty goals in front of the net. It seems he has an illusion that he can dangle and snipe, that's not his game. Put him on the wing and tell him to bull rush to the net. Take some PP time away but he needs to understand his role.
Not saying it is as simple as play like Greenway but sometimes guys need to grow into a role and use those things that work for them rather than be what they are not. Hopefully Cozens can find his game
