My Rep told me that I was in for a "pleasant surprise" .. I'm assuming that means prices will stay the same

I heard the are tied into NESN ratings and why I only listen on the radio. Looking forward to my 19% decrease.

My rep never tells me anything... unless he's trying to sell me something for way tof much way to late.

I may be on the way out after this season though... the combination of high prices, low resale and **** **** service.

This year it would have been better financially to do road trips on a New York swing or down south to see this team not suck so much at home.

I feel bad for STH's this year and applaud you loudly for applauding them loudly when they don't deserve it.

If anyone's curious about next year's extra divisional game for ticketing purposes, I played Sudoku with the scheduling matrix, and we're highly likely to have 5 games against Tampa Bay. This is currently the third year of the new alignment, and we've had six extra games within the division: an extra game against everyone except Tampa Bay. Every other team's done the same thing, making four pairings inevitable. The other pairs that are virtually a lock in addition to BOS/TBL are BUF/OTT, MTL/DET, and FLA/TOR.

But I'm not sure whether it'll be 3 games here or 3 games in Tampa. If it's 3 games in Tampa, then, in theory, we could have any of BUF, DET, MTL here an extra time. I imagine they wouldn't pick MTL, since we just visited them an extra time. Similarly, we just visited Detroit an extra time last year. So, Buffalo's the most likely choice if it's not Tampa.

So, our extra home game is likely to be either Tampa Bay or Buffalo - two teams that, comparatively and historically, don't sell that well.

Also, our extra metro home games this year were CAR, CBJ, PIT, WSH. That means our extra metro home games next year are likely to be the three New York area teams and the Flyers - probably the better set of four.

If any of the older season ticket holders remember Linda Bartlet who was in charge of ST back in the 80's, they would probably agree with me that she redefined terrible customer service. In her defense, Bruins customer service at the time was "here is your bill it's due next week, pay up"

Are they really selling out every game? I get the "There's still tickets available for tonight's game" emails for every home game and there are a lot of empty seats visible from inside the Garden as well as on TV.

Yes, they have reported a sellout for every game. Occasionally I'll get that e-mail and check Ticketmaster and there will be less than 100 tickets available for the game. I would assume last minute sales online and walkup would take enough of those for it to be considered a sellout.

I'm going to admit, I probably spent more money on seeing the Bruins when they were bad, than since they've won the cup.

Was much more willing to go out to 6-10 games a season on the cheap; than pay the same price to see a couple of games.

That's all the interaction I get from mine other than I have more tickets and suites buy them. I use to have better seats a few years back than I have now because my rep screwed up and accidently marked me as not renewing, it almost cost me my 2011 playoff seats (imagine) they got me back in but they moved me to high in the corner and I still haven't been able to move back to where I was..... I'm also right infront of a group ticket area which is horrendous.

they will slightly rise. The Jacobs family knows they have a stranglehold on professional hockey for the majority of NE. With the rise in popularity from the cup run I think we will have another year or two or increase before they decide to lower it. Sadly living in the NE area comes with higher salaries, more money on the table. So now its 11$ for a 16 oz beer. They know they will get it so why not?

That being said it'll be a rude awakening (like the red sox had) and eventually they will come down to earth. Maybe not of the scale of the red sox because there are less bandwagon pink hats and far more die hard fans, but there will be one.

Rather than starting a new thread, I'll use this one to voice my frustration.

I feel priced out.

Considering the product on this ice, this is shaping up to be the first season in a very long time that I don't attend a single Bruins game in person. The value's just not there for the price. I told family not to spend any money on tickets for Christmas. After the losing streak, I go on StubHub expecting prices to have dropped a bit and no bueno.

Have they even been selling the games out?

There were a couple of games that they said were sellouts that looked to be about 1K short.

Weekends you won't find many deals as too many come in from NH and Maine for their one game a season.

I used to go to a decent amount of Monarchs games.
I stay away now that it's ECHL.

I'll do at least one Procidence game.
I get that it's a business and I'm not expecting to pay 2008 prices in 2016.

I went to my first college game last year. UMass Lowell BC.
Didn't do a whole lot for me.

AHL is an outstanding value. Especially if you have kids. It can be an inexpensive fun family night out.

Man I miss having a team out here in Worcester.

Anybody want to buy a vintage IceCats jersey?

We were at DCU for a concert last night and they had big banners up for the ECHL team starting next season.

I'm sure they'll play Manchester 15 times a year.

ECHL only works in places that have no other hockey options. Nobody blames the Kings for moving out west but they should have found another AHL team to move there.

AHL is definitely a great value. I'm not gonna say that the hockey is equal, but obviously it's the second best league in the US. At the Garden, you get a high balcony seat for $50-$60 a pop - and you're forced to pay for all 44 (sic) games. If you want a smaller package, 11 games will set you back $75 apiece. Both of those don't include a $20 surcharge.

In Providence, $160 gets you 12 tickets - 2 for a specific game of their choosing, and 10 that you can use in any combo you like for any game. That's about $13.33 per seat per game. I can't say that a Boston Bruins game is 4 times better than a Providence game, especially if you have kids in tow. Plus, the PBruins really do cater to the kiddies, but not in a way that turns off the adult fans.

The lack of tickets on StubHub is possibly a supply issue. When the Bruins hiked STH prices for out-of-state addresses and folks they deemed "chronic resellers", I'm sure many declined to renew. In turn, that decreases supply on StubHub, which increases prices.

The "sellout streak" is a myth, and I think they'll perpetuate it until it becomes GLARINGLY obvious. They hit 300 games a few weeks ago, and there was NO mention of it. If I go in the balcony seats, I usually see the seats fill in by 7:30 on a weekday. It's not too hard to hide 1,000 missing tickets out of 17,565 - it's literally about one seat per row.

After the Monarchs bailed, I did a handful of PB's games and was impressed with the overall product. The entire production felt a lot more legitimate than the Monarchs. They may cater to the kids as most minor league teams do, but it doesn't feel overly forced or juvenile.
