Drury should’ve fired Housley and rehired Ulf Samuelsson weeks ago. Still can happen and is an easy scapegoat if the record doesn’t improve

Near the end of the game Borgen and Schneider were talking at length on the bench after Schneider's 2 min shift. So it looks like two guys who are trying to learn each other. Vaakanainen was sitting between them. Wasn't an argument or anything like that.

Castle is more like the German 'Schloss'. Swedish 'Slott'

A 'borg' is a military fortification while a 'slott' is a residence for royalty or nobility. Obviously there can be an overlap but 'borg' points to the military purpose for defence of a city. Cf Swe. Fästning Ger. Festung which only has a military presence.

It's the same in Dutch. A synonym for the word 'burgt' Amazing Kreiderman mentioned (it's 'burcht' actually and both 'burcht' and 'borg' come from the word 'bergen' ie. to protect) is 'slot'.

Funny but when Bylsma was in both Buffalo and Pittsburgh, he often wanted his defensemen to make long stretch passes. While he never coached him in Buffalo, he did do a lot of damage to the guys who were there which was part of why he was replaced by... Phil Housley.

Decent first game out of the Cyborgen. Now it's just a game of how long til Housely breaks him

Phil had him for two camps and a handful of games previously. Weirdly, he had solid stats when paired with Dahlin (very few minutes) under Krueger/Granato in the pandemic year.

Also, does Will still go by "Spud" as his nickname? Surprised with some of the takes that no one has mentioned his season has gone full potato...
