Speculation: Will Bedard receive multiple offer sheets?

Bedard hasnt lived up to his hype, and he won the Rookie of the year on his reputation not his NHL play.
Celebrini put up a (slightly) better rookie season and seems to be a much more complete player and finished 3rd in ROY voting.

who would you take if starting a team Bedard or Celebrini?

I'm not saying he's a 'bust' (though compared to his hype he is) but he certainly isnt the 2nd coming of McDavid, then ask yourself, would you be willing to commit big $$ and 4 1sts on him?

people were expecting Pavel Bure offense from this poor kid, he has a great shot and is pretty slick, but, he certainly should not be playing C... maybe as a winger he'd have far better numbers that he has so far!!

I can easily see Bedard signing an offer sheet that will take him to UFA and the Hawks matching it which is what, 2030?

Will the Hawks be competitive by then? Probably not unless they get an actual GM.

No contender has the cap space for Bedard where you'd NEED to push 11.7+ million for him and he's not even close to worth that. Besides, Chicago would match anything I'd bet, I guess if you offered him 15+ million? But who can afford that?

Besides the contenders aren't thinking 10+ years down the line, they're thinking how they can maximize their 3-5 window and a young, unpolished, raw player doesn't do that.

I feel like some fans of other teams want so bad to create a rift between Bedard and the Blackhawks that isn’t there.

And I mean even if there hypothetically was. Chicago has the most cap space in the league, lots of future picks, and one of the deeper prospect pools in the league. What they lack is more top end elite forward talent like Bedard. The only offer sheet that wouldn’t get matched would be for a ridiculous amount that you wouldn’t even want your team to sign him to. Spending time discussing a Bedard offer sheet seems like a futile exercise.

If this happens, CHI is a failed rebuild. They would essentially be starting over or add 5 years onto their current rebuild.

I can't see them letting this happen.
