Will Adam’s Be Fired ??

He's been remarkably inflexible. His goaltending plan for five years has been hopium.
He also doesn’t want a team president of hockey ops, even though he was offered one. So it seems like there is a lot of ego and arrogance with Adams and his decisions.

Doesn’t question previous decisions until it’s way too late, won’t change course on anything until his failure is so obvious that he’s forced to, and refuses any oversight or help that would threaten his position or level of control.

It's hard to shake the feeling that he thinks he's doing something unique that no one else is, that he has something figured out. Take the number of teenagers they push into their AHL lineup year after year. No one else is doing that. No one else is creating that log jam by choice. But here we are again, with the youngest player to start the year in the league in Helenius and another teenager playing important minutes in Wahlberg.

I’ve felt the exact same way…he always acts so confidently that he has the secret sauce and that we’re just weeks away from him being proven correct…that his team will take over the NHL any day now, and never let go.

I also feel like Pegula loved the story of how the Golidano-led Sabres came out of the lockout with a successful budget team because Darcy and Lindy and Larry Quinn discovered and were able to exploit market inefficiencies. I can just picture Adams telling him how he’s going to be repeating that with his version of it.

how many concussions did he suffer as a player? That may be affecting his decision making

This is a very astute observation. I think you nailed it perfectly.

When he does press conferences you can definitely see his arrogance. I wonder if thats because he knows he wont be fired.

If the 13 game loser didn't roll heads he's safe.

Best hope at this point is either he gets moved to another office (President of Hockey Operations) or another team has seen the methodical 4D chess level genius behind Kevyn's moves that they throw millions at Terry to bring him in and ensure their team picks between 5th and 8th during the Gavin McKenna draft.

He should be fired, but I don’t think he will be. I’d give a 20% chance he gets fired.

And I don’t think this late run has anything to do with that

He definitely thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. I go back to when they missed the playoffs by a point and someone asked if he felt it was a missed opportunity. The way he dismissively scoffed at the reporter.

Never seen someone take victory laps for missing the playoffs, but he did it for an entire summer. Multiple times he mentioned. that if they were all just '1% better' they make. the playoffs.

Setting the bar reeeeeeal low.

It always ignores the whole "lockout caused a massive paradigm shift in the sport" thing that made it work.

Pegula was very publicly clowned as the worst owner in the NHL, ranking at the bottom in every category according to the fan base.

This guy's ego is too big for him to not scapegoat his bitch ass GM. Yes,, he's not firing Adams this off season because of rank incompetence, but rather to shield himself from public scrutiny. On the bright side, Adams is gone. On the not so bright side, the guy who hired Adams still has zero clue as to what a successful hockey GM looks like, and will likely hire yet another inept sycophant to run his hockey team.

spending to much?! For my birthday my wife said pick a Sabres game and we will go. I asked her to go to an Amerks game instead lol. No but really.....
How could you not right now?! If I lived in Buffalo, I’d much rather make the drive to Rochester than watch them play in Buffalo. They’re the more fun team, and who knows…they’re stacked and could make a real run this spring
