Will Adam’s Be Fired ??

I thought it was time for this thread to begin , if there already is a thread on this I apologize .

But there is less than 10 games left in the season , Kevyn Adam’s has had 5 drafts , 3 coaches , 5 full offseason’s, he has overseen a full rebuild , traded a few stars ie ( Jack Eichel and Sam Reinhart ) who have both gone on to win the Stanley Cup.

And finally the team has taken a gigantic step back this season and we are in the draft lottery after Lindy Ruff was brought back to revitalize the franchise and that plan had failed miserably

Enough is Enough and I will get the ball rolling . I think Terry Pegula fires Adam’s the moment the season ends , I see no way and no how Adam’s gets a 6th season to run the franchise.

No serious organization would bring him back.

But no serious organization would have hired him in the first place.

He’ll be back. They’ll have an average start and he will get an extension. They’ll be back in the same place by the deadline. Then they’ll go on their no pressure run to draft 9th and convince themselves, once again, to do nothing.

I think he stays or moves up as Pegula wants his yes men. If he moves up they have 3 assistant GM's to choose from including Pegula's brother in law. But I would prefer taking a shot at Jarmo while he's out there.

He isn't going anywhere. He filled holes this season and has less to fill this upcoming off-season. He needs to address the following:
-Top line winger
- Top 4 RHD for Power/Byram
- Goaltending

Which holes did he fill this season, the ones from last year? The ones from the year before that? or the year before that?

He will address, at best, one of your bullet points, and they will develop some new problem next year too.

The downtrend continues from his magnum opus of missing the playoffs by less than usual 2 years ago

With the way, he’s gone about things, it feels like he’s been forcibly filling everyone’s hole.

After your post last night I saw this coming. Adams 5 years of no playoffs and you are advocating for him.

They’re going to learn all the wrong lessons, again. Before the deadline there was an absolute deluge of negative press on this organization. Worst owner in sports. National media publicly decrying Adams’ employment. Every day…it was everywhere.

Then they went on the most meaningless f***ing fake turnaround you will find since the last time they did the same thing. Because a 37 year old backup got hot…and they started shooting the highest percentage in the league.

The two least sustainable things possible.

And they’ll buy into it. They’ll run it back.

Imagine if Dahlin hadn’t missed those ten games we lost every one of! Imagine if we had Greenway and Norris! Imagine if UPL gives us Reimer level goaltending!

I can flash this forward a year for you if you’d like. We’ll be out of the playoff picture and on a winning streak. Like always.

This late run proves to me that Adams is the man for the job. Next season playoffs baby! Ruff’s magic will finally rub off and then the sky’s the limit.

Adam’s brain and Ruff’s guts is gonna take this thing over the top and beyond :hockey::stanley:

And let that be a lesson to everybody that NOBODY keeps the Buffalo Sabres out of the playoffs for 15 straight seasons!!

Probably because you still view the 5 years as he should have fixed the team in one year and been in the playoffs.
He shouldn’t be climbing out of last place with three weeks left in year f***ing five

You just twist nonsense into arguments you aren’t winning anyway.

It’s a talent.

When he said he has a 4 year plan to make the playoffs why should he get 6?

You think if you tell your boss you can fix a mess in 1 year he will give you 3?

I wish I could tell my boss it takes 6 months to fix a problem but then take 2 years to do it.

In your scenario he would get 12 years. In all reality, there is nothing I could say to make you look through the other lens and that's fine, I was the same way with Botterill.
