AHL: Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins 24 25 the Players Sully Hates

Emil Bumstrom getting a call up is bizarre as shit. He's not a Sullivan type of player at all, yet he keeps getting games and opportunities no one else that actually deserved it, ever got.

I'm assuming it is because they want to keep the propsects in the AHL where they're all have great season. As I've said before I'd have called up Pono as next year he'll be NHL or waivers. With McGroaty, Koivunen and Broz I'd rather they keep crushing it at the AHL than have them called up and play 12 minutes their fist game and then single digits the next 5.

Agreed, I think were looking at minimum 1 more solid season of AHL from those guys before they become regular. I'm thinking KD will be very active this summer in trades and UFA to fill roster spots

Spezza is literally on record saying that the team wants all of the WBS guys to stay in WBS for the entire year and be in a winning culture on a top AHL team before being called up. They want them to be getting called up for good and staying in the NHL, not just staying up for a few games due to injuries or meaningless end of season games.

Well, when you look at the current roster and the players that are under contract for next season with the RFA as well, there isn't more than 1 or 2 spots available which I think they go the UFA / trade route to fill those spots up. So ya, I'm expecting like Guentzel, at least 3/4 of the season again for them in WBS before players getting called up around the trade deadline depending on who moves out for players to come up and finish the season here before going back down for AHL playoffs

Honestly if Dipshit Sullivan used Puljujarvi or Puustinen the way he uses Lamestrom, I bet we would have seen more out of them than Emil has done so far.

10 games with 1 assist, absolutely useless at either end of the ice, and softer than diarrhea. The funniest thing is he finally got a point vs NJ and in that game he played 5mins, the lowest of his 10 games, typical Sullivan usage, he plays ok in 1 game out of 10 and its that game where Sullivan basically punishes him for it.

Imagine having a TOI averaging 12mins in his career before he gets picked up by the Penguins and now his average is about 8:45 mins per game if he even stays in the NHL and then he's not a fit for the way a dimwit coach uses him. So I mean yeah, I agree it's better to waste him than a prospect, but it shouldn't even be like that if we didn't have the most ignorant f***wit of a coach.

I'd definitely be playin Puusty over Bemstrom. At worst he does exactly the same as Bemstrom.

I don't really get why Poulin hasn't been called up over Bemstrom/Koppa/Imama. Poulin is 24 and has been in the AHL for years. Hes most likely a bust but why not give him a shot instead of playing a borderline AHL player like Imama?
Bemstrom, Koppanen, and Imama have no future in the organization. Moving them up and down late in the season hurts no one.

Poulin is being used as a leader with the AHL rookies - McGroarty, Koivunen, Broz - and is helping with their development. He'll get his opportunity to start next year.

CHL regular season wraps up this weekend. Kamloops isn't going to be in the playoffs, so assume we will see Brunicke in Wilkes for a few games down the stretch.

Cooper Foster in Ottawa may also miss the playoffs. Still unsigned and Pens loose his rights this summer, so not sure if he is in the cards.

Cooper to me is a prime candidate for "WBS has signed..." Byline.

Undersized, not fast, has some skill…that’s either Nailers porn or a typical wbs signing for the rest of the season if they bother at all.
