Hayes not signed to an NHL deal. Yet.

Would be nice to sign Jelsma to a deal too once he's done with Juniors.

Ya I hope they start cleaning house soon on some of these NHL and AHL Vets to make room for some of these younger players.

Id also like to see Calvert brought up from wheeling.

Nice to see both WBS and Wheeling doing well though.

This is part of the rebuild on the talent and development system. A number of players will be called up as Dubas trades open up things for them. Broz, Rutger M and the goalie of Jarry is moved.

Lol not with sullivan here.

They will call up some scrub like Katchouk

Nothing matters as long as sully is here. Development will not exist until he is gone.

And even if they do get called up, they'll get the "8 minutes per night on the 4th line and no shifts by the third period" bullshit regiment.

The best place for any of our promising youngsters is in the AHL as long as Sullivan is around.

THIS! There is no development. There is no rebuild. There is nothingness right now as long as the Massachusetts mafia boss is in charge. Dubas will trade players, but he will probably take bad contracts back. Meanwhile, Acciari and Nieto will be promoted into top-six roles. Expect it. Accept it. Embrace it.

Sullivan will do what he wants, when he wants, as long as FSG is in charge. We are screwed.

Hayes has been great. Really gaining momentum. Koivunen looked fantastic too, the vision for play making he has is just nice to see. Still want to see him be a little more selfish and score more.

Broz, Koivunen, Hayes, Gruden, all were fun to watch in that game. Rutger to me looks like he's trying to work on his complete game and is not focusing on his offense, it's like he gets a chance, passes it or cycles it.

Broz, Gruden and Koivunen should be in Pittsburgh by the latest after the trade deadline.

Honestly m they should be there now lol…if we’re losing, I’d rather lose playing under 24 aged players with Sid and G…why is our sending Pono packing so he can reinstate the corpse of Kevin Hayes from IR? That’s what should never happen…fire Sullivan

The fact we’re stagnating two of our best prospects growth because we overpaid a goalie and won’t move on from that fact shows this FO shouldn’t be responsible for the rebuild.
I'm not mad about the goalies usage. For me, Blomquist didn't look so good that he was undeniably NHL starter quality. He had a habit of getting too far forward in his posture opening up the top part of the net.

If he's in the AHL then I want Murashov getting starter reps in the ECHL. If Blom keeps trending positively I expect him to be clearly NHL ready by next season. I'll save my anger for next season.

Frankly non of the WBS Penguins are so good I think they are being wasted in the AHL.

Blomqvist is our best goalie. Period. He held it together in front of a horrible Sullivan defense. Both those guys should be a league up.

I agree Blom is the best of the lot, but I don't think he's so polished to be suffering for more time in the AHL. I also think the Penguins still miss the playoffs even with Blom getting the bulk of the starts so all you get for starting him is a worse draft pick and a young goalie getting shelled every night.
