The penalty was for crosschecking. Fak that piece of shit referee. He crosschecked a sack of shit that had just crosschecked a Laval player. If the first wasn't called the 2nd should have been ignored. Try to accidentally run that ref through the boards.

Too bad there was so little time left in the period the momentum they gained after the kill will get diffused during the intermission. We need a PP goal and the third could become very interesting otherwise there is a lot of talent on that team.

I haven't seen a call up worthy forward other than Condotta. Hopefully we can replace some of Heine's offense with a current roster player because there isn't much here IMO.

clearly Mailloux is dumb as bricks, no offense meant but man he is just not very bright. I actually like the improvements he's made this year but other times he looks lazy and dumb and that's a bad combination. I've seen him give up on plays but somehow Engstrom is the one that gets benched (not that he doesn't have some turnover issues at times but he is a rookie)

As for the game, I think it's been pretty good for Laval outside of that terrible SH goal this has been a close one with lots of back and forth but Laval just has been struggling at times to put the puck in the net unless Roy or Davidson get one.

I have no idea what to think about his NHL future. Sometimes he looks like like he could be a decent enough 5th or 6th, but then his brain seems to not function properly anymore. His offense won't keep him in the NHL, so he needs to play solid defense. I guess that his comparison going forward from that draft will be Morrow from Carolina, but what would really fit this team is someone with Mailloux's size who can make a good first pass and play solid defensively. I'm not sure he's trending quite there right now.
