I had wild -131 last night before the Kaprizov news, then again at +165 when were up 1-0. Barely got that in before they equalized. Then again at +900 in the third.

Once we hit ot I hedged a bit on Flames at -104 to limit my exposure.

Overall? I lost $21. Haha. Would have been up $400 if the Wild pulled it off.

Still I found myself flipping off Hartman as he came down on Vlad. RAAAAAAT. Lol.

Go team.

This has been one of the weirdest starts to an nhl season for the Flames ever. I had zero expectations for the year except bad ones lol. Then we get the start we did and somehow have kept rolling even after some eventual losses. Just so crazy!
I'm truly flabbergasted.

In the best way possible, but gasted my flabber is indeed.

Wasn't impressed with Vladar, he was pants in the third but he redeemed himself in S/O.

Expected that as per my message from earlier.

I think Cooley would be a better, more reliable and trusted back up.

Also, has anyone seen Coleman the last few games?
Lol, you're way too hard on our goalies. They're fine in my opinion, especially for the cost of both of them. Agreed with your statement about Vladar in the shootout, he was excellent. Both late goals were on a powerplay and a 6 on 5, always tough when you're down a man.

Anyways, onto the next one, I'm having a great time this season, I like results and the boys have been giving them to us. Costco is still blowing my mind.

I might well be but Vladar is very flaky, you could sense when 5 to go this wasn't ending smoothly and there it was...

Oh well, having a jolly good time this season. All those early mornings are paying off.

Was a nice evening game for us Europeans :)

Really liked our game tonight, very crisp, fast puck exchanges.

Not going to mention Kirkland, the guy is a stud!

The secret to good fried mashed potatoes is your left over mashed potatoes can't be too wet. Some people make their mashed potatoes with the consistency of porridge. Thats too much moisture.
Frying your mashed potatoes in butter is best. I spread the potatoes out so it looks like a pancake and let it fry and then when the pan side is golden I flip it and fry the other side. I always found eggs and sausage go best with the fried left over mashed potatoes.

I agree. If there was a way to gamble on whether Vladar's game Sv% would be above or below .900 I'd bet below every time and would be a wealthy man in short order. I just don't trust him when the chips are down.

I think the truth is there has never been a deal for him. Seems like a great teammate but he is a below 900 goalie.
Also why would we trade him, he’s doing his job perfectly this season. Gives our team a reliable enough start when we don’t play Wolf, and he’s good enough that if Wolf struggles we can give Vladar a couple extra but also not good enough that when Wolf is hot we can keep him on the bench. Not really worth blowing that up for a 4th.

I slept through this one, but glad to wake up to the win.

Whatever is knocking me on my ass for the last month or more is ridiculous. I did basically a variation of everything in the poll today.

There is a better goalie in the AHL who could back up Wolf. If he would make us stronger, why not bringing him up?

“Better”?! Walker Deuhr is tied for 4th in AHL scoring. How good of a scorer has he been in the NHL? Doing good in the AHL is meaningless compared to NHL results. You have to improve upon being the best in the AHL to be passable in the NHL.

Vladar had a 1.79 GAA and a .936 S% in the AHL his last season 5 years ago, saying there’s a better goalie because of his success in the A is a bad opinion. Cooley has done nothing to prove he’s better than either of our goalies, until he’s beat either of them in real competition it’s a bad opinion.
