The outcome not withstanding, that was some throwback Dead-Puck-Era hockey. Were the Wild honoring Jacques LeMaire this afternoon? I know my attention span has diminished since the 90's and could no longer take this low-event hockey on a nightly basis.

Feel bad for Geekie that his faux paus' cost them the game; but with an offense this impotent, there is literally zero margin for error.

Thought Mitchell was fine, but is Oesterle injured? He not only was defensively sound, he even chipped in a little offense.

Again just too many passengers and not enough talent. The product sucks from an entertainment point as well. I made it about 1/4 of the way through before I started to skip until the end. Happens more often then not lately.

I think you need to wipe the coaching staff in the off-season and subtract a few of the vets who are a little too comfortable. Specifically those who have been here a little too long (looking at Carlo and Coyle).

Gene Hackman passed away. One of my all-time favorite actors.
I'm hard pressed to find someones work I really appreciate. Maybe Tom Hanks... maybe.

We haven't to the theatre in a few years.
There's nothing there for my wife and I.
Nothing appeals to us.
Even with the Disney Channel, Netflix and Prime...there's nothing new to watch.

"Wicked?" Looks like a big bowl of elephant crap starring two fragile skeletons. Yet I'm sure it's nominated.
Indie movies or Wes Anderson movies. That's where I'm at.

The rest of your list is impressive and I would agree on each one of them.
I also love Frances McDormand. She never disappoints and I never miss any film she's in.

Seeing that you're into Indie films, I highly recommend STRANGE DARLING. It's currently showing on MAX.

Btw, I just checked and was informed Adrien Brody won best actor. He's another actor who rarely disappoints. Glad he won.

First, the players on this team showed up to camp unprepared for the season. It's Only a guess but back to back summers of weddings, European travel, partying, and not enough off - season training may have caught up to them this year. Off-season training is more than just conditioning, it is a mind set, a singular focus on what has to be done to be ready for the next season. Too many players were lacking.

Secondly, Sweeney dropped ball. He even stated at the beginning of the year that the team was not a finished product, that there were areas they needed to address. The lack of offense depth falls completely on Sweeney. He has done almost nothing to address the need for offensive help.

Top consistent offensive forward threats on this team are Pastrnak and aging Marchand, with Pastrnak carrying this team. After that there is a significant drop to Geekie and Zacha. And more of a drop to Lindholm. After that there isn't much. This falls on Sweeney. Losing six of the last seven games by one goal is frustrating. We have known for months this team needed offensive help and Sweeney for whatever reason refused to address the need. So here we are.

Shouldn't be too surprised by lack of moves though. Swayman's contract handcuffed the team cap wise from making moves of addition. But maybe a shuffling of the some under performing players for some new ones might have helped, but we will never know.

Move the deadwood at the trade deadline gather some new assets, and if the right opportunity is there get rid of anyone who is just going through the motions and doesn't show any urgency or desire. Sweeney likes to build his team in the summer and usually tweak at the deadline, so some of the bigger trades may wait until then. There are exceptions, but Sweeney is still somewhat handcuffed. We have five days to get some answers.

Movies create something.
My mom was 87 when she passed 3 years ago. She lived in Penticton BC . So I'd do the 11 hour drive to see her.
We'd watch some TV to kill time, nothing but crap on, the movies I'd like she just wouldn't get.
So I turned to YouTube and found Chaplin movies, Buster Keaton, Harold Loyd.
We laughed our heads off. She loved it.
Maybe a bit of Marx Brothers, Abbott and Costello.
She was the best.

Disappointed yes, but at the same time understanding. Mistakes have been made by management and certain players have underperformed, and both should be held accountable. But at the same time the Bruins were beyond due a season like this. No franchise can stay at the top forever. Boston have tried to extend their contending window as long as possible, but the bill falls due eventually, and the price, made even steeper by the last-gasp 2023 run, must be paid.

It's harder to bear (no pun intended) because the Bruins won less Cups in the last 15 years than they should have, but a quick glance at history and those like yourself that have lived through a lot of it will tell you that falling short in the final hurdles is far from a new phenomenon. The franchise is what it is. So I feel we must cop this one on the chin and look forward to better times. They'll try and re-tool and bounce straight back in the next couple of years. The odds of doing it successfully are against them, that's the cold hard reality, but we can only hope for the best and see what happens. That's sport.

The Geekie play on the icing that eventually led to his line getting stuck out on the ice for an extended period of time, and also led to the only goal of the game. Id like to hear his explanation on why he just stopped/quit on the play, when he was like 20 feet from the puck and everyone else was behind him.

I just cant fathom an excuse there. Tired or not your playing for all your teammates and you have to get to that puck first, or at least not quit on it.
