Why won't they play Bedard with Tuevo?

Even in this morning's skate, I see Bedard is lined up with Foligno and Donato. Last game vs NYI, Tuevo was the first star of the game and made amazing passes and smart plays all game, including with Bedard.

Now that Nazar-Hall-Bertuzzi give us a strong 2nd line, why don't we ice a talented 1st line with Bedard and Tuevo?

Someone please tell me what I must be missing ... did they have a bad game together early in the season?

TT has sucked most of the season and shouldn't have been anywhere near the top line.

Not to mention he floats too much and with Bedard being smaller, it's just not a good combo without the perfect third piece. Hell even with a guy like say Rantanen I'm still not sure Bedard and TT paired together is a good idea.

Kurashev has been such a monumental disappointment. How can you show so much promise like he did last, still fairly young too, and then follow that up by looking completely lost the next season? Him falling off a cliff has A LOT to do with why it’s been so difficult to find Bedard consistent linemates. Last season you knew that at least 98 had Kurashev to play with and they actually looked halfway decent together. Not sure if it’s an injury or if he just simply doesn’t work hard enough to improve or maintain a certain level of performance. Either way it’s very annoying.

I was never that impressed with him despite his stats last year. I thought he was just another Kubalik or Pius Suter and if there were more talent on the team not worth ringing back.

He leeched off Bedard inflating his point totals. It's not hard to figure out.

This big of a drop off though? Its absurd. Obviously he was leeching off Bedard....but with Bedard still there how is he no longer able to leech? That's the entire point. Sure he was never a true top line talent but to fall off a cliff like this when he should still be able to plug in effectively alongside 98 and at least give you SOMETHING is just pathetic. Unless, again, if he's playing hurt and we don't know yet.

Kurashev obviously scored more last season because of 98, but in his own right he looked like an ok middle six guy for stretches last year and he never looked as outright awful as he does now. He is currently a total phantom in the same way Reichel was last season

So, another 3-point game for Teuvo - that's 6 points in 2 games ... play him with Bedard! Earlier in the season, Teuvo seemed grounded in Luke Richardson's defensive system. But with Anders here and a faster, more aggressive system, I'd really like to see Teuvo and Bedard on the top line with Donato. We have a good 2nd line now in Hall-Nazar-Bertuzzi, and lines 3 and 4 were already productive...
