why nobody is talking about the anaheim ducks rebuild?

And yet all of the teams you mentioned are all within 3 points of Anaheim in the standings. That’s some real progress over Anaheim.

I'm not sure how you could possibly interpret what I wrote as being a critique or praise of any rebuild and not about "noise", aka what this thread is all about.

Meh. Comparable to the other Ducks young D, sure. I wouldn’t call 17 points in 33 games "breaking out".

He did start the season injured and was slow out the gate.

But it's also worth noting that 11 of those points have come in the last 13 games. I still think his ceiling is a good two way 2nd pairing guy, but no question he's on a tear right now (and not just offensively), and if he keeps it up that may have to be reevaluated.

I don't think people talk about Anaheim's rebuild because it's not really exciting or notable. It's not like it's a struggling rebuild that should be ahead of where it is, or it has some super exciting players like Celebrini, Bedard or Hutson. It's just a slow burn and a gradual improvement.

With Anaheim, their 3 leading scorers are Terry, Vatrano and Strome and their young guys are solid but not spectacular yet. I think if one of McTavish, Carlsson or Gauthier would take a big step forward, I think they'd be getting more attention. They just haven't done that yet.
I agree with Empoleon... you guys better kiss your loved ones, the world is ending tonight.

What is there to talk about? It's been stalled for years. They have young talent but, like other teams that can't figure it out, they don't have a central identity. Verbeek is an idiot and so is Cronin, along with their other coaches. The veteran signings don't work out.

Show some noticeable improvement in the standings and get back to me.

Most of the young talent will definitely figure it out. Carlsson, McTavish, Zelly, Mintyukov, Cutter, Zegras. Basically none of them truly worry me. They have shown enough to me to be comfortable saying that. What did you say to people like you about Jack Hughes his first couple years?

They need a coach who just lets them play offense. Who cares if they give up 5 goals a game, they need their young guys to develop. Teams like Montreal and Columbus are starting to show signs of life because they've gone all in on offense. Anaheim is just praying their goalies can save 100 shots a game while their young guys all score 30 points a season.

personnaly I dont like their most of their jerseys, not their logos, just the colors, they could do better, also there is almost no veteran on the team, its like a bunch of kids all by themselves

I see threads about the wings, habs rebuild issues and nobody has brought up Anaheim..

I think this team is gonna be good. They have a lot of young skillful forwards and some good young d-men.

Discuss.
because rebuilds are boring g to discuss.....including my Habs. They actually made a documentary on "the rebuild"..... I didn't watch it.

Both the Ducks and Red Wings rebuilds remind me of Chicago pre-Toews and Kane.

Lot of good complementary pieces waiting for 1-2 keystone, elite players.

Don Granato tried this approach, and it failed. It set the Sabres back. Also, the Ducks have cut way back on the shots they face, but I agree the goalies have been good. I'm 100% on board with installing the defensive structure first, having effective forechecking, and figuring out finishing last. If their PP wasn't a complete joke, they're likely playoff contenders right now.

Anaheim Ducks = Lord of the Flies...lol.

Man...... those might be the ugliest jerseys ive ever seen.

Nope. There was a stretch of time where almost every team in North America was trying to incorporate navy or black into its color scheme. Everyone looked almost the same. It was extremely boring. It was a time to be endured, not enjoyed.
