It is a way to get the puck into the net and it is a legal hockey move within the rules of the game, the same as any other attempt to score. Why do some people lose their load at how classless and disrespectful it is to attempt to score in such a manner as opposed to a different matter? Are attacking players supposed to arbitrarily decide to limit their scoring opportunities by removing one potential means to score in order to avoid hurting someone’s feelings? Why is physical punishment outside the confines of preventing the attempt more justified in this instance for this particular attempt?
