Why does Adam Gaudette lead the Senators in goals?

I don't get the surprise, he has always been good when on AHL teams

Sure, but in the NHL he plays roughly 10 minutes per game and just a little on the power play.

I don't think anyone expected him to lead the Senators in goals a quarter into the season, with the likes of Stutzle and Tkachuk on the team playing twice as much.

His shooting percentage is through the roof, though, so it is what it is.

His TOI is 10:40 per game, good for 11th amongst Sens forwards. (Far right column)

Guess that’s why he leads the NHL in goals per 60.
Also leading the Cy Young.

He’s leading the Sens in scoring because he’s got more goals than anyone else on the team
