if they're over the line, report them. works for me

well yeah sure... except, everyone can come here as long as they follow the rules while it looks like we're not allowed anymore to go to other parts of the boards period.

No one cares
As the games get tighter, with little room for error, guys like sekac and eller become even more important.

The more I watched this game, the more I figured that if the habs were going to score, it was going to be that eller line. It didn't work out that way, but I still stand by the idea that their actual importance to the the team has not nearly been discovered yet.

I totally agree, to trade Eller imho would be a serious mistake, he is such a smart defensive forward who can produce here and there but I truly believe he loves the defensive side of hockey. Most guys have to be forced to play that way but Larry seems to love it.

As for Sekac, he seems to have so much upside offensively and lets remember, he is a rookie. He would be better matched with Pacioretty and Galchenyuk type players than with Eller. Once he gains more confidence and ice time, he can be a 40-50 point player with a strong two way game.

Eller made some great defensive plays last night. He probably won't get any credit, but he played a good game. He got the puck deep and grinded it out a couple times. His offensive game might be MIA, but them intangibles man.

obviously trollage will be infracted, but now, that's ridiculous: you cant go and say good game even when it actually was a good game?

too much butt hurt around this place sometimes... :shakehead

You know, if "good game" is considered offensive, it's time to close the team boards completely to visitors. I don't care about the timing of it, that's just people being extremely sensitive. I just hope they dont feel as sensitive in the real world or else they will get eaten up.

I find the habs board to be quite liberal for visitors compared to other boards, its just too bad that it isn't like that across the board.

As I mentioned to DesLouise, you guys all have a legit point. You're totally within your right to post on other teams' boards, as long as you're not trolling.

I was taking my cue from some NYR mods, who are in the best position to read the tone of their users. They felt their board wasn't in the mood for visitors. We thought it was best to give the place some 'alone time' to cool down. It seemed like a harmless favour to grant, but I agree there's only so far we should be micromanaging these places if people are abiding by the rules. In retrospect, I shouldn't have tried to prevent civil posts.

I thought he played better than he has. Looked alert in the game.

While I still believe that we have holes on the D and that Carey Price plays a big part in the following stat, we are first in the NHL in GA right now. Impressive

Beaulieu is really coming of age. It's a beautiful thing to watch.

The rookie roulette wheel has to land on Tinordi sooner or later. We need youth and depth for the playoffs, he needs experience - time to call the big kid up again.

The NHL really needs to focus on their officiating. It is seriously terrible. Since when do you get a penalty for faking to drop the gloves?

If Kreider doesnt drop em, there is no penalties on the play. But he did and Subban got 2 mins. So stupid.

What I like about Beaulieu is that he's just taking care of things in his own end right now. He's decisive, first on the puck and makes a great first pass

Offensively, he's not lighting it up but what I like most is that he's not pushing the issue either. I think the production will come eventually, but at least he's keeping things simple.

The experience he's gaining right now will be huge come next year

Alright, I had to check for myself so went to the video because I knew something was wrong when they took so long. The camera really sucks so you have to factor in some pixelation blur where I put the lines.

The puck hit the toe pad, the initial shot speed caused a blur and they were pausing the video on the ricochet off the toe.

I copied the shape of the puck off the ricochet and just followed the blurred shot to the point of the toe. Even if I"m off a few pixels either way it's a goal, there is plenty of room to show it ie a 1/4 of the puck was past the line.

It's a shame they don't invest in sensors or better equipment or even a graphic specialist to look at stills.

Based on what I saw...the puck is in before it even hits Lundqvist's pad.

It's moving so quick though, it's hard to see

They need better cameras or some kind of fail-safe system where a chip in the puck senses it crossed the line. Like Pacioretty said last night it's 2015 there shouldn't be a reason not to improve the equipment.

Last night was a playoff-type game. You can't be missing calls in that kind of game.

Hopefully they address it. NHL is probably too penny-pinching to invest in it though.

Having said that, given the evidence and the tools they have, I say the right call was made. They had to overturn the call on the ice, it was inconclusive (I.E you had to deduct that the puck went in but you never actually see it across the line).

agree here...

they have goal line technology in soccer...no reason to not have this in the NHL
