Speculation: Who's the next coach?

I think Fedorov is not a coach type at all.

But Larionov could be great.

Is this why Feds was let go by CSKA after coaching for only 3 years? He won the championship the first two years, then bombed out in the first round last season and they didn't bring him back.

They either have extremely short leashes in Russia, or it was obvious he did a bad job as a coach.

Anyone have any insight into the KHL?

The Professor, on the other hand, is in his third season of coaching in the KHL and has had less success than Fedorov, but still has his job...hmm...

I volunteer my beagle, Casserole, as the next coach. She's probably got a better chance of winning a Cup than Lalonde.

I'm not quick to call for a coaches' head but I've seen enough. It's just been too inconsistent. You have enough veterans and enough young talent you should be able to implement a consistent, functional system.

Even being outside a playoff spot, we should be able to say, "yeah, I see what he's trying to do here".

Wither Jim Montgomery? Gerard Gallant? Lou the LCA usher?

Think Montgomery is the guy to go. I always loved what he did at Dallas and also he was very good at Boston.

And of course, he is bald.

From this list (2,2 last seasons), there's 3 guys who are free.

Montgomery, Gallant, Bowness.

Let's sign them all.
