As I type, Detroit is laying the wood to the Kraken. Giving up three goals, Grubauer was pulled six minutes into the first period in favor of Daccord. Daccord is doing better than Grubauer, which isn't saying much. He's on pace for a 7+ GAA. This got me thinking. Can you imagine the message coach Bylsma would be sending if he also pulled Daccord and called in the emergency goalie?

He'd be sending the message that he doesn't understand the NHL rules and regulations, because Daccord or Grubauer aren't injured or otherwise incapacitated (in your scenario), which is required for icing the EBUG.

So your point I'm guessing is he should be sending the message to management that Grubauer shouldn't be on the team/on the NHL roster anymore and they're better off going with some EBUG, as they would be an upgrade to Grubauer's cremains?

He's the same coach that started Grubauer on opening night, who cost them the game, and yet he still continued to rotate the goalies for the first week or maybe even two of the season before letting Daccord run with it.

They should have been letting Daccord run with it from the start.

And I would argue they should have BOUGHT OUT Grubauer before the season started, but that's on Francis to do.

A guy can dream can't he?

Did you guys drive off all the people with a sense of humor? It's just hockey.

Are you a Kraken fan? What do they have for goalies in the AHL?

I know nothing about the goalies in their AHL system, but I'd have to assume there's gotta be somebody down there that's no worse than Grubauer.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's on waivers this week. He's the 2020 version of Cory Schneider at this point.

IMHO, the Kraken should make Ron Francis play goalie. At least then he would be doing something.
