Suzuki is a center, a leader on and off the ice, better defensively, a better play driver and a proven playoff performer.
Lol..he had one run...Tkachuk will show your 1st overall how to take a punch dont worry

Tkachuk easily right NOW...

But Slafkovsky have potential to become better, for sure. His offensive skillset is very impressive.

Tkachuk is still a pretty unique player too, Sens are lucky to have a player like that.

Voted Tkachuk but that doesn't mean Slafkovsky wasn't the best prospect available in this years draft. This years draft was deep but lacking in the top end, Slafkovsky would have gone ~5 in a more typical draft.

I mean... it would be a pretty disappointing outcome for a #1 overall to only reach Brady's level. I know he's on the lower end of #1 picks, but if you're Montreal turning out as good as Brady should be the expected floor, not ceiling.
Tkachuk is probably a top 30 player in the league, I would be happy with that for a sub par draft

Top 30?

Not a chance. He's effective at what he doesn't but he's quite overrated in general.
Forget about Tkachuk then, I would be satisfied if slav turned into a top 30ish player, which was the point of my response to the post quoted

I'm not sold on Slafkovsky either, I hope he becomes better than Tkatchuk but I'm not overly confident.

Either way, it's quite a stretch to have Tkatchuk anywhere close to the top 30 players. Neither him not Slafkovsky are close to that tier.

...why start this now, before Slafkovsky has ever played an NHL game??...just to garner more revilement from other fanbases??...you can really tell when Summer Boredom hits hard on HF...

I think you'd start to be grasping at straws when naming 40 skaters that are better than Tkachuk.

Played more than great 2 playoffs season while being in the league 3 years, how is tkachuk doing in the playoffs?

By the way i’m sure Slafkovsky is so scared of Tkachuk right now…not.

Brady Tkachuk. What those Tkachuks bring is hard to find. He’s a safe bet to realize his potential.

I do think Slafkovsky has a higher ceiling but may or may not get there depending on his development.

My thoughts exactly, and why I voted for Slafvosky.

Doesn't guarantee he reaches that high of course - but I certainly expect he would.

I voted Juraj...thinking long term.

Right now, and probably for the next 3 years it's Brady.

I am really excited to see what Juraj can do long term though. We are 3 years away at least from competing, and in 3 years I suspect it will be Juraj. Hence my vote.
