Losing to the Bruins would be awful, so if we get them, we better beat them. I mean losing to Tampa would suck too, but they aren't your arch rival or your recent playoff demon daddy.

I'm fine with either but if I had to choose it would be Boston. Not because I think they'd be much easier but just because of history. We owe them a few and it would be nice to get started on balancing that ledger.

Plus, if we can't eliminate even this diminished Bruins team we don't deserve to go anywhere anyway.

For a team that loves to make average goalies Vezina candidates on any given night. I'm scared about what they will do against a legit Vezina calibre goalies (i.e. Price last year). I think this is a very good team that can beat anyone, but that aspect of hot goalies getting into their heads and shutting everything down scares me. For that reason alone I'd want Boston.

I want the Bruins... They're due for a loss against the Leafs! 2nd round the Panthers, then the Bolts and in the SCF the Flames! :thumbu:

I would posit I am in the top 20% bracket now, for age, but I have to say, I think you guys are more beaten up than I am.

Have you watched us play at all? We are like the Harlem Globetrotters of the NBA. Having a ton of fun and skating like there is no tomorrow.

Only team that can beat us is the Toronto Map[le Leafs. Everyone else is a puff of smoke.

Now if the refs totally put the whistles away, and WHY would they? St. Louis and Calgary, with zebras taking a nap, could be something.

Would it make a difference? They've been beaten in the first round by every team imaginable, from really good teams to underdog teams that were brought to the brink of elimination. Who would I prefer they play? Nobody whatsoever. Just a free pass to the next round. Every other choice feels just as insurmountable as the rest.

I don't think it matters a whole lot.

The Bolts ARE the better team compared to the Bruins but I think the Leafs playing style is able to thrive more against them. It'll be more open ice, and a fast game as each side leans on their skill guys. Vasi is the wild card....

Bruins are weaker but adjust their playing style to the post season and it's wonky reffing well. Would be super fun to slay the dragon so to speak and a decisive win against the Bruins would be a massive mental boost for the tr.

Bring on either.

Boston by a nose. It doesn't really matter though, you have to beat many good teams to win a Cup.

One positive about facing TB is the number of Canadians in FLA gives them a little bit more supportmon the road.

Alos, maybe TB fans are less inspired after two Cups.

I wanna play the B's, I wanna crush them in 5, taking the deciding game on the road and in their barn winning by at least 5 goals.

I want the Bruins so we can exercise some of those past demons.

Plus after tonight I can go without 7 games of TB

I don't care, something that we can't control. Can win both. Bruins are appealing because of the history, but playing against powerhouse of Lightning would be also really great series.

I'm from Finland and I think Swedes think about these kind of things, but we Finns we just smash ;)

Tampa got Bruins in the playoffs tier refereeing in their favour tonight and the results speak for themselves. We were short arguably our two most important players but you can see how quickly they dismantle you with all that powerplay time. If the refereeing is shifty (it will be) we won't be in for a good time against them. We can take them but I'd face the Bruins over them any day.

I want Tampa over Boston by a hair. I do think we stand a slightly better chance to beat Boston, but I think there is a higher likelihood of 'accidental' injuries be Boston.
