Just out of curiosity, who would you have liked the team to draft in 2022 if they never went after DeBrincat?

The options are the guys ranked from 7th OA to 24th OA on Bob McKenzie`s list who were still available when it would have been time for the Sens to pick. No one from his Top-6 was still available.

Joakim Kemell
Jonathan Lakkerimaki
Matt Savoie
Marco Kasper
Kevin Korchinski
Pavel Mintyukov
Conor Geekie
Danila Yurov
Frank Nazar
Brad Lambert
Jimmy Snuggerud
Jiří Kulich
Ivan Miroshnichenko
Isaac Howard
Liam Öhgren
Noah Östlund
Owen Pickering
Denton Mateychuk

Kasper, Savoie, and Mintyukov. With hindsight, Kulich.

I remember at the time I thought Savoie might be the best option there, and that was a big reason why I didn't mind trading the pick. With hindsight, Kaspar.

IIRC I was high on Lekkerimaki and Kemell but also wanted Brad Lambert.

This is a bit with hindsight. I'd like to see what our lineup would look like if we made a smarter choice in 20201 and if Dorion didn't sell the farm for ADB and JC

I like Ullmark and Jensen but imagine adding Coronato, Kasper and Sandin-Pellika to our future outlook!

I liked the upside of Lekkerimaki at the time.

Kasper was probably who we were picking though. Checks off almost every box for our scouts and I think the 67s taking him in the import draft was telling as well.

Mateychuk looks pretty good in Columbus. Not really a need though.

I like Kasper’s game and we could use the help on forward so I will go with him. He fits our style too.

(All of my answers on these polls are hindsight only, I don’t follow prospects enough to have real opinions)

I remember expecting us to pick Kaspar, can't remember if I wanted him though.

I recall liking Nazar and Mintyukov. Kulich, Bischel and Mirosnichenko are all appealing young players.

I didn’t love the options but Kasper was the best of a meh lot in my opinion at the time. I definitely wanted to steer clear of Mintyukov.
