Goon. Boxer most likely never or seldomly ice skated, the mechanics and coordination of fighting while balancing on 2 edges of a blade is completely different.

If the boxer was able to train for weeks to months on ice to get accustomed, they'd would probably win though.

Assuming no training whatsoever, the boxer would be on his ass pretty quickly. Wouldn't even take a goon, just someone with decent balance.

Voted boxer. They hit so much harder

Obviously, it'd have to be someone who can at least skate minimally, if not he'd fall right away.

Goon, many of whom know how to box. You can't punch if you aren't rooted to the ground...unless you are Bieksa.

Can the boxer skate?

It’s a completely different type of fighting so I’ll go with the one who has experience

Easily the goon. Boxing doesn't really transfer to hockey fights. You're taking footwork away from them. Even if it's in sneakers, if they're wearing jerseys, the goon has the advantage.

They punch harder because they use their feet and hips to generate power. That goes away as soon as somebody's yanking on their jersey. At that point they're just another dude winging punches.

I don't think a jersey is stopping Deontay Wilder from knocking out a goon

On ice it would. In Wilder's case though, yeah, in sneakers he probably has an advantage. Although still, I wouldn't take Wilder over a heavyweight MMA fighter, because it's so far outside his element. Hockey fights are similar, and being able to grab his jersey would limit what he could do. The average pro boxer (not Wilder) would be at a pretty big disadvantage if they had someone limiting their footwork by jersey-wrestling them.

1 NHL goon or 10 middle schoolers?

Mostly likely the hockey player will win on the ice, regardless of how good the boxer might be. Balance on skates is a whole other ball of wax and it would completely throw off a boxer to have to throw punches on the ice.

I played junior hockey and also earned my Golden Gloves as an amateur when I was 17. I've been in more fights than I can count and can say, from experience, that most hockey players (even goons) don't know the first thing about how to properly fight. But all that changes once you hit the ice. It is such a different way of fighting that, if you don't boast the balance and strength of a hockey player, you're going to be a fish out of water and will likely get smoked.

But, if we're talking off the ice, the fight would last about as long as the boxer wanted it to last (ie. the hockey player would be drinking through a straw by the end of it).

Fight would last 2 seconds because the boxer wouldn't be able to stay upright.
