Who would make your team better : Kuch or MacKinnon?

Skill wise they're equally impactful, but Mackinnon fits Colorado's team culture better I'd assume (he practically defines it for all intents and purposes).

See....lots of people might say the complete opposite...perhaps toss up and then suggest MacKinnon because he's more fun to watch. This is subjective of course, but I think MacKinnon is the most fun player to watch in the NHL right now. Him and McDavid are similar in terms of that, blazing speed coming up the ice (which is what I find most fun to watch). McDavid is slightly more smooth with the puck at times as he's coming up the ice, but what pushes me to go with MacKinnon in terms of most fun is his tendancy to just be a rock. I've seen him skating up and when you think he puts himself in a bad spot and gets lined up perfectly for a big hit....and not just when you think....it does happen, but he'll take that head on hit and then other guy goes flying a lot of the time. I don't know why I love watching that so much, but I love watching guys get hit with big clean hits, but even more fun, I like seeing a guy where you think he's going to get blown up only to see the other guy hit him hard, but not have any effect....I think it's more something that causes me laughter....which is fun

Yeah honestly MacKinnon is more entertaining, but perhaps that’s partly because McDavid has not been 100% lately.

For Canucks, it'd have to be MacKinnon.

The only teams i wouldn't think that's true for, are ones with two rock solid Top-6 Centers, including an obvious clear cut 1C. And it still might be true for those ones. Even though Kucherov would be the far more fun player to watch in some ways and is probably one of the rare wingers who is able to carry a mediocre center to top line sort of results overall.

MacKinnon has the worse hockey IQ and can be frustrating when things are not going well. Forces too many low percentage plays and plays hero hockey. When it works it's brilliant, but that's not always the case.

This hero hockey often works better in close games as opposed to stacking up points in blowouts in Kucherov’s case. MacKinnon has better stats in close games, tying goals and go ahead goals, and in elimination games.
