I watched most of the series of Tampa Bay vs. Florida, and while he came up with some good saves in key moments every now and then, he wasn't stellar. Overall, to sum up how he played against the Bolts, I'd just say "good enough" basically. The outlier from that generalization is when he pitched a shutout in game 2. That one I can't say a lot about, because I had to go to a choir rehearsal the night of the game. It was an oddball 6:30 start (I had to leave for the rehearsal at 7), so I got to watch Nate Schmidt open the scoring, then got home in time to see the Bolts' last gasp efforts to tie the game, where there were some good chances, but either he stopped them all or the scoring opportunity didn't result in a shot on goal, and Florida had already sealed it up by the time of scoring an empty net goal to make it 2-0 with 4 seconds left, so that empty netter didn't really feel like a "dagger" if you know what I man. Just more of a feeling of "oh, well, we lost... oh, he put it in the empty net? Meh, already didn't matter." That said, he only faced 19 shots on goal to earn the shutout, so while I missed a lot of the game, that tells me that it was probably more like the Panthers suffocating the Bolts on their attack than Bobrovsky being brilliant.
If someone who actually watched the entirety of game 2 wants to chime in and say differently, feel free, however in the other four games, I'd still rate Bobrovsky's performance as "not necessarily stellar but still good enough."
