Who wins the Conn Smythe Trophy?

Dallas and Edmonton are obviously Rantanen and McDavid. Carolina its Freddy if he keeps this up over the whole playoffs.

Florida is the one where I'm not so sure. No forward over a PPG. Bob hasn't been amazing.

And for the likely playoff losers ofthose remaining.. Nylander (not that he deserves it), Connor, Wilson, Eichel

It got to Rantanan right now.

On Edmonton I was on Drai, but currently MacDavid is impressive.

If any goalie is in the conversation, it has to be Andersen.

I'd say the top five leading contenders are...

McDavid/Draisaitl (who hurt his chances with his play last night)
Rantanen
Nylander
Andersen
Yep, I see the same. Rantanen currently in first place on May 13.

For now it's all Rantanen IMO. Not only is he the scoring leader, but also has all the storylines going for him and those are really important for awards like these. If either Edmonton or Dallas make the finals, hard to see Smythe not going to west.

If WPG goes to finals from the west and either Florida or Toronto from the east, then I have absolutely no idea.

Its Andersen at the moment on CAR though I don't think he's mattered a whole lot honestly, they just have not been challenged at all yet, Rantanen on DAL, McDavid on EDM, on Toronto I have no idea who it is. They'd be at risk at the moment to having the losing team have a player win it against them for sure unless someone starts putting up bigger numbers.

I think it's gonna be decided by these two teams. I have a feeling that Carolina will win the east this year and eventually lose to the winner of this series.

Indeed. He’s been insanely hot and killing off his former team in the first round is huge. He had the inside track as of now.
im not convinced about rantanen, to many highs and lows, 1 assists after 4 games for example
Andersen is my favorite so far, high high level, no big downs

Mod edit: this is in reference to the possibility of McDavid winning the cup despite losing in the finals to Florida.

No clear stand out candidate for Florida so far and McDavid looking like one of the lead candidates for Edmonton. Could you imagine if this happened two years in a row! Would be pretty funny.
