Who wins the Atlantic?

I think Ottawa's success, or lack thereof, in the playoffs will depend entirely on Ullmark. He has struggled in the playoffs, and even his regular season numbers this year have not been great.

I sort of see Ottawa like we were back in 2023. They would be a wild card team in the playoffs for the first time in years, so I would definitely consider them a Cinderella story if they go far. I think they would be dangerous for any team.

They just need the playoff experience, whether they win or lose this year.
Look out if they bring in a winning coach like Quenneville, could be the push they need to iron out the finer details.

They run really hot than extremely cold so a great coach can flatten the peaks and valleys to a more consistent formula.

I don't know where you learned how to count but where I come from 87 is = to 87.

And seeing as both teams have 87 points they are tied.

If they remain tied after game 82 at that point you need a tiebreaker but as of today they are tied with 87 points

The Panthers have the tiebreaker, Einstein. That's what everyone is trying to tell you .

So 1967 won't be mentioned again? We can recognize there are a lot of new players on this team, with only a handful having a long tenure?

Let's not be dishonest about what people speak about when taking about the Leafs.
To be clear:

Not winning since 1967 is due to the curse of Harold Balard and the general awfulness of the TML franchise.

Winning a single playoff round with the current core is straight up on them.

Two different concepts :)

Leafs clearly don't want 1st, losing to the 2042 Cup Champs in San Jose.
Embarrassing to say the least, almost like the Leafs have a Hockey virus they can't shake.

I pray it's Tampa who plays Ottawa.

I think the sens are going to go out early this year, and I'd much rather not deal with Leafs fans after they beat us, or "Your Tkachuk is worse" Panthers fans.

I can handle losing to the Lightning, only because there is no narrative.
