I think Florida. They are in the lead now and are still getting Marchand added in at some point, and also Tkachuk maybe for a couple games .
Holy crap my friendThey are not in the lead.
They are tied with Toronto in points and after Sunday the Leafs will have a game in hand because Florida has a Saturday and Sunday back to back against Washington and Pittsburgh then They don't play again until next Friday and then It's Utah, and then a Montreal and Toronto back to back.
They are not in the lead right now not really.
Holy crap my friend
Ok, ok....you can say you’re in first....
At this moment I see a tie because as far as I'm concerned they are deadlocked.
They are not in the lead.

I don't think Florida makes it - our blue line is depleted with Ekblad and now Kulikov out and we'll obviously be missing Tkachuk for at least the rest of the regular season. We'll keep our head above water but will be grinding the rest of the season out.
Ottawa is playing really well so I can see them upsetting any team right now. So however the standings play out, there won't be an easy opponent to play in the first round. From a narrative perspective, my personal hope for maximum entertainment is that we face Toronto in the first round to give Marchand the opportunity to beat them again. And then face Ottawa in the second round for the Tkachuk-bowl. TBH, any of these match ups would be fun.
I was answering the question about winning the Atlantic, not about making the playoffs. But yes, could have phrased that better. You don't think Florida makes it?
They are easily in the playoffs unless they lose out, I know they are beat up but that's not going to happen.
As in, “makes it to first place”, I believeYou don't think Florida makes it?

No, according to me, Tampa is in the WC2 spot because they're last alphabetically among the Atlantic playoff teams. Which places my team, Montreal, 2nd in the Atlantic.I think we can all agree that the Lightning are in third place right now.
...21 years ago...not really relevant now...![]()
So we agree that the past isn't relevant to current teams. So now can we drop past failures of the Leafs teams when talking about current players?
Flexing moments from 20+ years ago…. Dark times….
People are talking about the past failures of the current players
one happened 21-26 years ago, players are all retired,So we agree that the past isn't relevant to current teams. So now can we drop past failures of the Leafs teams when talking about current players?
I assume that means you won’t be bringing up ottawas fluke run or playoff results as well then. Unless of course up is down and down is up.one happened 21-26 years ago, players are all retired,
the other happened 1-8 years ago, with main core all the same.
It's a trap. The Lightning have gone out in the first round the last three playoffs so they could get rested up for the big push this year. Go Bolts. At some point, all these additional playoff games that the lighning group and Panthers group have played over the years compared to the lack of playoff games for Toronto has to catch up to them. In tampa's case it already has since their three consecutive finals. Florida has had two consecutive finals as of today.
