I won’t be upset if Florida doesn’t. We would likely have to face one of Toronto or Tampa at some point anyway if we plan on making another deep run.
As a hockey fan though I would love to see a Battle of Ontario first round.

I think Florida. They are in the lead now and are still getting Marchand added in at some point, and also Tkachuk maybe for a couple games .

They are not in the lead. Tied with Toronto in points and all three teams tied in pts%.
Also the Leafs and Panthers records are identical lol with the same amount of goals for as well. Spooky
...Florida has one more Regulation Win...so yes, they are in the lead...

For now, by 1. If they tie on RW, Toronto has the next tiebreaker in ROW. So about as slim a lead as possible.

I'm not saying the Panthers have some huge lead, but they are in the lead right now and have reinforcements coming .

Lightning haven't won their division since 2019. We do still have home games left with both the Leafs and Panthers, but we blow so hot and cold, I wouldn't be surprised if we dropped three straight at some point and torpedoed our divisional chances.
It's annoying because nothing that I've seen tells me Toronto is objectively better than the Lightning overall, but head-to-head the Leafs have dominated this matchup for a while.
To me the Ultimate first round match up for Toronto would be the Islanders. Grant you I am an islanders fan. lol

I hope I am wrong, I just don't see Toronto winning. They will probably lose 3 in a row now after winning the last 3 lol. I think Tampa finishes first.
