Finland will upset all and win this tournament playing a strong system and selfless team game. Canada's lackluster defense and goaltending will be their weak point. They will have a very disappointing showing.

I voted Canada, but can easily see US winning this as well. If they ref it like a playoff game, it will likely be the US. If they ref it like a regular season game, it will likely be Canada.

What's interesting is with national pride at stake, the players will likely go at it hard! I'm actually looking forward to this .

PS: politics aside, just wish they had Russia in this as well.

Even with Hughes pulling out I still have USA winning. Canada’s goaltending will be their downfall. Politics went with hill and binnington where they should have went kuemper and thompson based on Merritt. But hockey Canada will do hockey Canada things.

The Americans also snubbed a Thompson!

I can see the argument for the gimmick World Cup where we only scored 1 goal, but what is the other one? We finished with a medal in both Vancouver and Sochi. A single blow out game doesn't count as getting destroyed if you finish with an Olympic medal, don't be ridiculous.

If getting a bronze medal in an Olympic event with 12 best teams in the World counts as "getting destroyed", our conceptions are very different. To me getting destroyed means that you are a punching bag in the tournament, not losing 1 bad game. I guess Canada, USA and Russia all got destroyed even worse in Turin by your definition, because all of them had some pretty embarrassing games in that tourney.

4 Nations is different because there are only 4 teams and one winner, but the Olympics have lots of teams and lots of history and prestige. Not putting any value in Olympic medals other than gold just makes you look pompous.
