Here's my guess. But usually these are at best 50 % correct :D

People are putting a lot of faith in Necas, the Avs goaltending, and Landeskog going from basically 0 to 100mph after not having played for years and now he's in the playoffs.

Vegas beats Tampa in 6. There aren't any world beaters in the league this season and Winnipeg is a HUGE question mark, as is Washington. I think it's wide open for 3/4th of the playoff teams.

Nobody is putting any faith in Landeskog being a massive contributor. They are getting so many votes because the roster is deep enough that they don't need him. Anything he chips in is just a bonus.

I have Vegas over Tampa. I think Colorado is the best team in a vacuum, but their path to the final is brutal. Vegas is in that sweet spot of dangerous, high quality team and avoiding the hardest matchups until deep in the playoffs that I think they're in the best position. Carolina has the easiest path, but I need to see them do something other than shoot for volume to have faith in a finals appearance.

The real value to the Avs is the morale boost and even keeled leadership which Landeskog’s return will provide. Any on-ice contribution by Landeskog would just be icing on the cake.

Colorado for me. WPG, COL, Dallas is a pretty crazy trio, but honestly, the top three in all divisions are pretty solid. I think Colorado, Edmonton, and Florida have about the same or better chances as WPG, Vegas, and Toronto of making it out of the divisional rounds. A healthy NJ would be scary as well.

The only wildcard that worries me is Ottawa, though Kakhonen+Kaprizov+EK, Binnington+Thomas, and Suzuki+Hutson all have superlative talent and or a goalie that could really go off.

IMO Dallas is once again the most underrated team. The Central Division is so competitive though so who knows how much any of the teams will have left in the tank by the time they reach the conference finals.

Leafs beat Edmonton in game 7 of the finals

Would be crazy for HF to be down for the entire finals...

Who is manipulating the cap this year?

Is it just Florida and Colorado?

Correct me if I am wrong about the above (not saying either is not legit).

Sounds like a good final though, Florida wins.
