Fear is the mind-killer.
I think Chytil will be seen as being on the top level of prospects after this tournament with Petterssen and Kaprizov. He’s the next Pastrnak.

Not going to post in the chytil thread cause it's bad juju
chytil first 9 games
25 shots, 11 points, 5 goals, 5 games with a point
best offensive producer on the team
pastrnak first 9 games
27 shots, 10 points, 3 goals, 5 games with a point
best offensive producer on the team
wanted to update this after the back to back games with chytil being pointless.. turns out pastrnak also went pointless in his next 2
don't take too much into this as pastrnak got to 11 games on Nov 8
also another added caution is that pastrnak was weak and lacked strength while producing these #s. He improved a ton in this department after his 2nd season in the NHL, I don't think chytil has strength issues
Seconded. Brannstrom is awesome. He will end up being the 2nd best defender outside of Heiskanen from this draft.Brannstrom aint get no respek. All I hear about is Dahlin (warranted) and Liljegren (somewhat warranted)
I would have to imagine that is due to Tim being a Toronto prospect and their shear number of fans, while Vegas fans don't have much of an online presence.
What Brannstrom showed while he was over in the States at the Vegas camp was extremely impressive. The low scoring nature in the SHL leads to some underwhelming production, but this kid has everything but size. I dont think he can get a slot on that 1PP due to the handedness of Dahlin, but he is going to impress at even strength with his elite skating, IQ, and passing / breakout ability. He also is able to play more physical than his size implies.
I could see him anchoring that second pair and giving Sweden the ability to roll the top two pairs ~23-25 minutes each.
Amazing how you don't even consider him #1.Agreed. I think the tournament will determine if he is the clear cut #2 in the draft, or in the mix with Boquist and Zadina for the 2-4 spots.
He'd need to have quite the end to the season to be considered for #1. I wonder if 2 PPG would do it, even.Amazing how you don't even consider him #1.
But only because Dahlin is overhyped. He'd need to have quite the end to the season to be considered for #1. I wonder if 2 PPG would do it, even.

If Liljegren continues playing like he has in the AHL, the hockey community will get a nice re-introduction. Especially if he gets minutes with Dahlin.
